  1. Boyle to the Rangers! No Toronto jersey in his future.
  2. We fished from maybe 7am-12pm then that was it. No way I was staying out there in that hot and humid weather.
  3. Anytime man, those chicken sandwiches were killer
  4. Got out on opening day with the oldman, then Sunday with my buddy Doug. Slower start each morning, but once the fish turned on it was pretty much non-stop all day. Perfect weather, great company lots and lots of big fat smallies! These fish were crushing spinnerbaits, once hooked it was time to get airborn! Extremely hard fighting fish, they just didn't want to give up. 5. Agreed 100%. But we all knew Gleason was just a 1 year deal anyhow. Let's hope they beef up the D line this year!
  6. I liked the way Gleason played, no one would block shots like he did.
  7. Back lakes, you could toss marshmellows at those fish and they'd bite. :)
  8. Pro Qualifier is from BPS. The Guidewear stuff from Cabelas is good stuff. I wouldn't go returning it to be honest.
  9. I forgot to try on that suit... I completely forgot about that.
  10. We don't need Jorges from Montreal anyhow.
  11. Those are some chunks!
  12. Steve, you like the Pro Qualifier better then the 100mph suit? I haven't looked at both closely yet, but it's time for some decent rain gear.
  13. Yeah, I'll wait until it gets down to $199 before pulling the trigger, that or the BPS brand, whatever works it's all the same.
  14. I started fishing crank baits quit a bit last year for both smallies and largies off deeper weed/rock edges. I'm trying to get out of the rut of always throwing the same patterns (ie topwater because it's so addictive, lol)
  15. Ugh, I was hoping the Guidewear was a wee bit cheaper.
  16. Yup, the only thing I find is that the reflective finish is easily chipped off the head itself. I'm going to start putting a few coats of clear nail polish on them to see if that helps.
  17. I really like the Terminator T-1 Titanium spinnerbaits, no matter how many fish we caught the other day, the arm never got out of wack. And those blades they use thump like crazy, absolutely love them. All I do is add a trailer hook and that's it.
  18. I had a killer opening weekend this year. Probably some of the best smallie action I've ever had. Mostly all came on white/chartreuse spinnerbaits, colours of the blades really didn't make a difference. Gold/silver/white, etc. Most fish were off the edges or in the deep stuff between the rock shelves. Stupid numbers.
  19. You sure the fish are actually there? I am not a fan of super slow fishing (tubes, dropshot, etc) unless I've located big schools of fish (usually this is in the fall).. Burning spinnerbaits is a killer smallie technique as is topwater over the edges of deep drops.
  20. 5-12ft, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits or topwaters.
  21. Seems a bit gimicky.
  22. That's a chunky monkey Cliff!!!
  23. Two days of insane smallie fishing!

  24. I guess we'll wait and see what shows up at the dealership. They've been offering diesel engines in their trucks/SUVs for 30+ years. But hey, I can't complain about more diesel offerings from multiple auto manufacturers. Nice to have a selection!
