  4. something has come up & I wont be at the swill afterwards - have a good day everyone - I hope some success is found!
  5. i also have an x67c i bought it last year when Cabelas was having a mid-winter sale & had a local retailer match there price. It also included my chioce of a boat transducer as well. I only got to use it on the ice a couple time last year & I am happy with it - nice to have both sonar & graph when on the ice. I also use it as my bow mount sonar for softwater & it will also work fine in any instance if i were to rent a boat sometime.
  6. well done hold on to that spot, definetly earned
  7. love the look of that stiff lake!
  8. Ive got a trip booked for Nippissing in early Jan will also do a few day trips to Simcoe through-out the winter theres some local holes that i hope also get safe ice - i would love to do a trip north for speckies & splke , but we'll see if that happens
  9. ive hardly evercaught any brookies - one wild, & few from a stocked pond - never caught a splake - would like to get some through the ice sometime, but will require some travell - never caught a sauger - not sure where in Ont to look for them - Skamania (summer run great lakes rainbow) - ive herd they fight like hell! - atlantic salmon - i may have caught one before in Lake O, but most likely was a brown ( didnt take a photo) - arctic char one day (fingers crossed) - a sturgeon would be neat
  10. love the "trout spots" on that second 'ski
  11. here here! bring on the ice! (but if it takes a little while to arrive, theres lotsa open water opportunities nearby for me!)
  12. group hug everyone! as its been said a Quinte trip is tough to plan perfectly - some people like Merlands, some dont The opportunity to catch above average walleyes is why Quinte is chosen - its tough to accomodate everyone at the same accomodations, because Quinte is world re-known for its fall fishery & the few beds that Picton has available, fill up quickly on weekends. Also Lakair (Nippissing) closes for fishing in mid-October anywayz I was up in Picton for the day on Sat, but it was a last minute decision - also had to turn around & drive 3 1/2 hrs home, other wise woulda stopped in @ the Merlands campfire for a visit - did see some of ya's on the water tho
  13. WOW! & ya know ya they say, there is allways one bigger then the last one you see
  14. just say "when"
  15. The members from Niagara Fishing . Net are having there swill @ The Lazy Lizzard on Saturday evening. Lazy Lizard is at the Henley Plaza right next to the north side of the QEW / Ontario St on ramp/exit (across the road from Timmy's) From what i understand, the NFN'rs have graciously extended an invite for all to attend. All you can eat pizza & wings for $8.
  16. That is a good deal there Chris do I have feeling your gonna give the salmon a go next year?
  17. i'll be fishing trout not too far from there that day - might be able to meet up for a mini swill when the day is done though
  18. happy birthday to both of you fine gentlemen!
  19. Tuesday tradition!
  20. i thought JB's was also hosting the OOD's travelling show?
  21. very nice S&A whats his name? Jake? Ernie? Suick?
  22. boring indeed , except the rookie going up in flames Jimmy gets the job done & in 91 days (only 13 weeks!) he begins Daytona & championship title defences
  23. take as much stuff outta the boat as you can & cover 'er up as tight as you can - if your gonna pay someone to winterize, you mzy as well pay for shrink wrap too while your at at it. Motors arent difficult to winterize your self, but again if its your first year, for warranty sake you can have someone "authorized" to do it. Maybe you can watch whomever do it & then you'll know how next yr. Batteries - take all of em out, unhook your sonar units & bring em inside. Batteries - keep them off any cement floors & give a charge every two months untill you "spring-ize" your boat im from an expert, its all i can offer to ya
