  1. It was a GoPro Hero4 Silver Camera- Just set it up under the dock and pointed it at what seemed to be a focal point for them. Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed the video! It was really cool to see in person. They weren't hitting on anything, they were swimming right by schools of baitfish. They seem to be in a trance.
  2. I was up north two weeks ago, for the second year in a row Musky were spawning in our bay. Bay is shallow 3-7 feet at the deepest. We saw about ten swimming around. Most of the one's in the video are mid 30" fish. I saw two that day that made me say "holy $#&$". One was a mid forties and thick fish, another had to be a 50 if i've ever seen one. Was covered in scars and looked very intimidating swimming up to the dock I was sitting on. There's better action towards the end. Watch in 1080p for best results.
  3. Make sure you come say Hi! I'm in the Fishaholic booth.
  4. That's awesome!
  5. I know it's April Fools day, but I'm not joking lol
  6. So the people that manage the Toronto Fishing Show have put together a show in the Kawartha's. April 1-3rd at the Lindsay Exhibition. Apparently there will be the mega tank and a trout pond! Free entrance too. Who's planning on going?
  7. cellunlocker.net I've used a bunch with great results. Never on a 6 though.
  8. I've just heard of this show this year, looks like a great place to score a deal compared to the big shows. Prices are much more reasonable for booths and money goes to charity! $3 donation or a perishable food item to get in. Excerpt from Facebook: "Please join us for the 4th Annual Bowmanville Tackle Swap and Fishing Show. The show keeps growing each year with over 3000 people attending this year and 2016 is no exception as we will have more vendors and the use of the entire arena for the Fishing show only on March 13th the start of the March Break. Once again the show will be in support of the local Salvation Army Food bank. Cost to get in the show will be either a non-perishable food donation which will be donated to the Salvation Army or $3.00 per Family. The show will have fishing companies, fishing clubs, fishing pro-staff, and lots new and use fishing gear for sale at great prices. Once again all kids 13 years and under will receive a free fishing product and there will be lots of free draw prizes again for some great fishing tackle. The show gets great support from the fishing community from all over Ontario and from local businesses and organizations. Bring the whole family and let's talk fishing on March 13th." I'm going to be there exhibiting some shirts. Make sure to stop in and say hi! https://www.facebook.com/events/1693105944254849/
  9. Thanks for the response Mike! That looks like a great trip you had with the Kiddo! We like the cabins basic, as long as they function and have good screens! James
  10. LOL I love his shirt.
  11. That's amazing progress! I weighed in at my rock bottom of 338 pounds at our fly in fishing trip a year and a half ago. I'm now down to 273. Only 15 more pounds. My first 40 pounds I took off by cutting carbs all together, as well as sugar, and salt. The last bit has been just by making smarter choices to my meals and keeping active. If you can lift weights, the more muscle you put on, the more calories your body will naturally burn for you. My one tip is water. I drink up to 10 liters a day. Try to drink a liter as soon as you wake up as it starts your metabolism, and try to drink as much as you can during the day. The more water I drink the less hungry I seem to be! Keep up the good work man, you're not alone!
  12. I'm not an anti-hunter at all, I support people's right to hunt. What I disagree with is the spring hunt as mentioned if a sow is killed it is basically certain death for the cubs. I also don't really see the sport in baiting a bear and then shooting it. They make these bears out to be aggressive man killers who are extremely dangerous and people think it's cool to kill them but all is not what it seems: I'm glad they have implemented the steep fines for killing a mother bear.
  13. Hey Folks, Has anyone fished this lake? Would love to hear how you did and see some pics! Searched the interwebs and can't find a single report. Thanks in Advance. James
  14. I think it needs to be put into perspective. Just like you're paying to get in the retailers are paying for a booth. A small booth this year was $1200+tax, not to mention hotel and transportation that is a really heavy overhead for them. I went expecting a day of entertainment just thinking about the coming fishing season, looking at some trips, maybe buying a few lures. I understand if you were driving quite a distance to get there it might be a bit more frustrating but for me it was worth the $13. Seeing a movie is an hour or two of entertainment and can be upwards of $20. It's nice to support the little guys once in a while too!
  15. Great video bud!
  16. Good on you for keeping your cool! That's hilarious.
  17. Why do women always have to embarrass us on the water? My girlfriend smokes me every time.
  18. Great fish, it's a real treat to get those consistently!
  19. Wanted to thank everyone for their advice and help, wasn't able to catch anything but what a beautiful lake! Might have to try to catch my first laker next year!
  20. That's a beauty!
  21. Due to a lack of a shower this weekend I decided to jump into Lake Boshkung for a swim, it was amazing that it was so cold that my body almost went into shock. I would hate to have done that from a boat, the shock almost paralyzed me. It was lucky I was in shallow water. Glad everyone is A Okay.
  22. Thanks for the info! I wish Lakers were open I've never caught one. James
  23. Hey guys, Did a quick search couldn't find much info. I see it has lake trout but a quick search revealed it closes September 30th. Any other species worth targeting? Pike or musky? If anyone has any info we will be catch and release. I am taking a first time angler out and I'm hoping to get him on a couple nice fighting fish! Feel free to PM me. Thanks!
