Mike, I was going to brag to you I had that rod in my hand before you... but figured someone would chime in and say I had you're "rod" in my hand LOL! it is a sweet rod however.. Chris did an amazing job on it... I understand the cork was a real pain in the arse as the darker rings have rubber in them.. and do not sand evenly compared to the cork which equals alot of added man hours and patience. But the Burled maple seats, turned rings and the cork handles look awesome on that rod. Chris is working on my new pickeral rod... this will be my third from him. Quality rods from a quality guy, plain and simple. Sooo... when are we having beers at you're place? (from another thread.) G

Thank you Roy, Brian I agree. I have been known to partake! We all know I do. However never at work. Being a Carpenter/General Contractor (and a damn good one at that) it is not worth my livelihood, to either hurt myself, an employee, or be fired from a contract. It is simply not worth it!.. not only are you endangering you're own well being but the well being of others around you. I have to admit in my younger years I would work hungover or tired.... and these too can be dangers.. but to be High and drunk, but when others are depending on you to lead them and show proper work practices, to keep them safe.. and perhaps their future employees safe, this is unacceptable. G

Well I am a construction worker, and I do not drink on the job.. In fact to do so would be foolish given I use power tools all day. Don't get me wrong I like my beer.. but when I get home! Given the inherent dangers of being a carpenter, one must have his wits about him... and Alcohol/drugs dulls those wits pretty quickly. If I caught any of my employees drinking/doping on the job, their next job would standing in line at the HRDC looking for a new one. G

We have always done the shared charter... 100.00 Per person.. and both times we were alone without others, they will pick you up at you're hotel and drive you back. They keep the fish.... watch out for the flying fish! took one on the forehead last year! Well it looks like my quiet little neighborhood is going to crap! Neighbors car got stolen a month and a half ago... it was found.. trashed 2 weeks later some punks walked up the street slashing tire sidewalls of every car that was parked on the street, including my girlfriends work vehicle.. And now, my girlfriends car was stolen on thursday night.. found yesterday @ 8pm... we brought it home last night.... it was a disaster.. dirty underwear hanging off the rear view mirror, it was CAKED in mud... ignition was laying on the floor... 420.00 to the tow operator... They stole it again last night!!!!! Jesus! OPP called us @ 430am asking where our car was... we said we just got it back, it was in the driveway... the lady on the phone asked us to take another look.. sure enough the car was gone.. this time the punks trashed it into a ditch on the 403 @ Wilson st... I live on a pretty quiet street.. and this has me fuming mad! I am about ready to turn off all the lights and wait with my 30-06 and wait for the buggers.. so now I am looking at another 500.00 charge to the tow company!... so almost 1000.00 down the drain because of a bunch of idiots. /End Rant G

thanks for posting the report and our pics Cliff! Joe, myself and my buddy Joe all had this head cold.. Brutal! Bernie.. it is a good excuse for a few days off... need some company? Bawahahaha! As always gentlemen I had a great time, and I look forward to our winter trip.. But please.. can we make it longer? there never seems to be enough time to catch up.. We do this 3 times a year and it seems the time spent up there gets shorter and shorter.. good friends, good times, good food and great conversation... The lemons dont hurt either... problem is with us all sick.. we have probably put the lemon farmers out of business!.. as a total of ONE lemon was murdered on this trip.... ONE!!!! As for the marshmallows... I will not divulge what color I caught my 21"r on.. G.
