  1. Bite me oh great one! LOL... Thanks guys... but why not just use a drift sock or throw down the electric? Seems odd to me.. and I dont recall ever seeing someone doing it on the water... G
  2. I see on alot of sites people talking about back trolling. why would someone want to troll in reverse? any benefits? PIA? what drives a man to drive around in reverse for hours on end? G
  3. Sorry.. I misread.. Try yet another plug... if that fails, well I would look at replacing the coil. G
  4. That is your Coil... and yes it looks to be in bad shape. but you have spark... so I would bet on a fuel issue. G
  5. female perverts huh.... dang missed it... LOL! G
  6. dont take this the wrong way might be a stupid question... but when you were checking for spark.. you placed the Spark plug against metal to check it right? G
  7. Kinda freaky driving the 407... only to see deer glaring at you.. and they are inside of the fences!... I have seen a few roadkill on the side of the road recently... I dont think the fences are keeping them from the hiway... I also notice alot of waterfowl in the ponds that dot the ride into work.. I assume they are pretty comfortable hanging out there... G
  8. With a body like this who needs friends!
  9. Spending time with friends... The Quarry... Starting him young! Fishing with a casting super freak! G.

  12. I think I will side with SP here... he is in the business after all...
  13. Fillets of Pike on my plate they did lay; Bernie's Black Russian certainly made my day... with a twitch of his nose and a look of jest Nater just does not understand what were trying to attest...
  14. Loc-tite works wonders Mike!... Use the Blue though... if you use the red only way to get em off is with a torch.. G
  15. Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house.. not a fishermen was sleeping.. not even on the couch..
  16. I would look at used also... for the simple reason...They dont build things like they used too! Older small engines are a dream to work on, have little to no plastic (new ones do)...Besides if you can pick up a decent 8hp for 600.00 and have it last 10 years... well I figure your ahead of the game.. If you want to consider used.. I would purchase it from a place that actually sells and services them new.. that way you know your getting something that has been looked at tuned and serviced by the professionals... Here in Hamilton, Peters, O'Neils and Berts come to mind. Gerritt.
  17. Rick, Awesome account... I have a grouchy neighbour as well that swears by doing everything by hand.. he has called the cops about my lawn mower and snow blower.Did you know noise bylaws start before 11pm?? in fact anyone can call any time of the day... as long as your disturbing their peace..that was until today... in spite of the me putting up with his 6 yes 6 years of his Bull... I still did his driveway.. and I did it with a smile.. not to be mean spirited but because his wife told me about his prostate cancer.... he is a proud fella and everything he does is manual... Unfortunately I know he is not well.. but he is too proud to say so.. I hear it from his wife... Even though he did not thank me.. the thumbs up I got from his wife who was sitting living room window was enough.. and I agree... Pay it forward... PS... I owe a couple of favours.. after a neighbour fixed my carb tonight... G
  18. Bernie... Sorry man!! I had no idea!! I love Pike!! yeah they are slimy etc.. but filleted correctly... I doubt ANYONE would be able to tell Pike from Pickeral on the plate.. I grew up eating Pike! Mmmm... brings back alot of memories.. Pike done over an open fire... G
  19. You know your always welcome... no invite needed.... do you want a week warning next time I do I "fry"?? if so consider it done... Don, it has been awhile since I had a feed... and trust me after today I needed it.... same as you; doing half the neighbourhood ... Alot of older folks on my street.. some are ill..(two houses with people suffering from cancer)... I do what I feel is right.. even if it takes me all night... Just got in from my third bout with the white demon.. G.
  20. I have a 8hp Craftsman... it is about 30 years old... Other then a few problems I had today... (would not start) it has been flawless... I took off the fuel line and nothing but black came out.. Rotten fuel line or rusted fuel shut off... I cleaned out the gunk.. and found ice in the valve of the bowl.. blew that out.... added fuel line anti freeze and she is purring like new again.. would I buy another Craftsmen? you betcha.. first time this unit has ever needed service.. and it took me no more the 30 minutes to fix.. While I myself have not owned the machine for 30 years (Hand me down) I know its service history inside and out.. Tecumseh 8HP G.
