Hamilton mountain is getting slammed at the moment... Hamilton is set to break snowfall records with this storm, we are expected to receive more snow then most because we are on the west end on Lake Ontario, so we have to deal with lake effect snow as well... Looks like I am going to have a busy ahead of me... 4 elderly neighbours and a single mother... Snowblower is going to get a workout... G

BMO (MCap) gave us the best rate when we first did our mortgage... when the mortgage came up for renewal we shopped around, and Wound up getting the best rate through Wells Fargo.. You best bet in purchasing a first home would be to use a mortgage broker, they will find the best rate for you.. and you dont pay them a dime; The mortgage companies pay them. Not sure if this applies in AB or not.. but wait until after January as Land transfer taxes will be eliminated for fist time buyers... atleast here in Ontario.. I should add paying off your mortgage bi-weekly will pay do your mortgage ALOT (Years) quicker... go for 5 yr fixed.. then in 5 years shop for a better rate... G

I vote on the salty S-10's as well.. I looked and looked ... when I was considering rod holders... they are made of solid metal (cast) I was given a ton of opinions (all valid) But I found the saltys to be the best out there, in terms of material used and build quality... Up to you... but when you have the fish of your life nail your bait while in the holder in the middle of Novemeber.... are you going to trust frozen plastic.... or solid metal? the choice is obvious I think.. G.

Twas a good one!!!... do they come in a Mens Size LOL!!! One comment though.. at the end during the "Subway" set.. the audio was so mumbled I could not make it out..sounded like the teacher from Charlie Brown.... (and no.. it was not my TV..) Well he got the maximum!!! Even if he was convicted on 1st degree.. it would have been 25 to life... second degree (which he was convicted with) the judge still handed down 25!!! this is a huge victory for the families he was found guilty in destroying.... Next up the 20 other charges of murder... This man will NEVER see the outside world again as a free man... I am kind of torn here... No innocent life is worth more then another... However is the substantial cost worth it...(trial, lawyers, judge, etc...) The other families need nay...deserve closure.. I say try him on the other 20 cases to bring closure to the families that are involved.. (I know this may not be popular...) Pickton has served 6 years so far (counts toward the judges sentence) .... and unfortunately we dont deliver consecutive sentences in Canada... ( meaning 25 years for every person... in this case) Nope... 25 years total.. So by law he Must be given a parole hearing in 19 years.. No doubt Pickton will be kept in solitary confinment as the general population.. would well... Think of what they would do to Bernardo... I say give the families 10 minutes alone with him.. without cameras.. with out reprehension... Some may disagree with me but I think the next phase HAS to happen to bring this to an end and to make right by the families he has destroyed.. throw the monetary costs involved out the window.. the grieving families need this... Hell Canadians need this.. My vote? Life in prison with 100 Lashes to the back per day.. Not death.. but he would certainly wish he was... Gerritt.

I found this extremely moving.. infact I shed a tear or dozen.. Dont know why I want to share this.. but I think it is something that will all help keep us grounded... especially with the ME, ME's as Bunk mentioned earlier... no matter how bad you think you have it... Someone in life always has it worse... From the first time I watched it, it stuck with me.. Hopefully this makes just a couple of us realize what is truely important during the holiday season..
