  1. The Mosey on Inn, lots of Walleye in there, just remember before you put one on the stringer, wear a glove for protection.
  2. That really sucks dude, but on the bright side, the job market might bring you a new experience which you may like more! Be competitive, don't turn down interviews, and sell your self to the max!!! A guy with your experience should have no problem landing a sales executive or Sales management position.... Check out all the sources available - Monster, Workopolis, Job shop, Kijiji, craigslist, all major newspapers... Tons of resources and opportunities out there. Don't stress out too much man, enjoy your time off, and more importantly enjoy looking for a new gig.
  3. Was out at the beginning of the year, and caught 15 Eyes ALL UNDER THE SLOT (yes we put some back) caught them with the great people from the Waltonian. Looks like the fishery is on the comeback I says.
  4. Have any of yous seen how they "catch" Paddlefish????? You'll probably have to wear your diapers for that one.
  5. Looks like "No Brains" here has no idea about credit card fraud. This is a scam, unless you do your due diligence for this transaction, if everything thing checks out then it's good to go. Unfortunately this sounds like fraudulent activity, I would call Phone Busters, and they'll create a file on the phone number used, any info pertaining to this "fraudulent" call. To No Brains; You should be thankful of retailers questioning odd sales transactions, it could be your credit card their trying to use!!!! DUH
  6. I'm pretty sure BPS has the thermal 6-8 man hut, it's $500 though...
  7. If your fishing with 4 guys, buy the 6 man hut, you'll be much more comfortable. I bought the Frabill 6 man, and it's got more than enough room for a good party on the ice. As for where to find one, call Lebarons for the HT 6 man, as Costco is solf out for the year.... Or, order online and ship to a close to border UPS store, and pick it up there.... At this point in the season, pretty much all stores are sold out of the essential ice gear. The best time of year to buy ice gear is November to December because they'll have what you want in stock.
  8. There must be a vent flap on that model - look harder
  9. You do know that cats spent every minute of the day or night looking for something to kill, if they were able to, they would snap your neck. Good riddance to fluffy.
  10. Thanks for the feedback on the Izumi rods, nice looking rod, bought the med/hvy rod for the lakers and whities, going to test is out this weekend. As for the St. Croix, I have a premiere, and love that rod as well, just remember to toss the reel if you bought the combo.... The one that comes in the plastic tube looks and feels flimsy, and doesn't have a cork handle... I need cork.
  11. What...... No love for the frabill or Dave Genz rods????? These rods (sans the dave genz reel) have been wonderful. Sensitive and durable, great to fish with either mono or braid. Just bought a $16 Bob Izumi rod from Lebarons, any reviews on this?
  12. I would recommend the Strikemaster Strike lite auger, bought it 2 years ago, and found it to be very light (23 lbs) and much cleaner to use (4-Stroke) - No mixing gas, and it is very fuel efficient, a tank lasting more than a couple outings depending how much holes you drill. It runs on a Robin engine (Subaru) and it is also much quieter than and 2 stroke on the market. Look it up.
  13. Screw Lake Simcoe, fished there many times and I'm sick of the locals and many people from Toronto who make fishing there unpleasant. I'll take my dollars elsewhere, obviously they have no idea about how valuable we are to them. Perhaps if we dress up like Nascar drivers they would let us in with open arms?
  14. Lol, well we can both agree on that. I still think the Microline CI4 is the sweetest UL spinning on the market for the price Good luck with the search dude....
  15. Ha ha lol, call me crazy, but a $150-$200 reel is mid level in my opinion, you want high end, buy a Stella, Sustain or a Steez... For the 2 reels you are looking at, given all the reply's on this post, take a shot and pick one. Indecisiveness is the downfall of mankind.
  16. Seems like you have a hard-on for the Patriarch, why don't you just BUY it. As mentioned that reel being fairly new, not many people have had a chance to give it a go other than in a store.... Do you want us to buy it for you as well????
  17. Sheeeemano bro... Micro line CI4 - That would be my pic - light but strong, and has a super smooth retrive and drag.
  18. Hall should be use to getting nailed, he's been getting drilled his entire junior career. Kid has to learn to keep his head up. Great hit by Doughty though.
  19. Uh....the "air bladder" you see coming out of their mouth is not the air bladder - its their stomach. Bring them up slowly and they'll go down the hole.
  20. Holy Crap!!!! This is Awesome!!! Never tried Elk meat... Heard it's really good though
  21. I think if the bail on your reel is malfunctioning, perhaps you do not know how to properly fish with a spinning reel? Perhaps you apply too much pressure when opening and/or closing the bail? It's more than likely something simple you are doing which is causing the reel's problems. If that isn't the case at all, then maybe you should look into a spincast reel that has a button you can simply press down on to make casts with, really easy to use, no bail to worry about, and comes with a variety of characters - Sponge Bob, Mickey Mouse, and I believe Dora the explorer as well.
  22. Love it when your master plan follows through....
  23. Hey, I have one you can buy has the instructions as well.... $100. I'm in Mississauga. Let me know
  24. Buy a riverkeeper/frogwater reel, not an islander or a Kingpin... Rob makes these reels out of his pro-shop in Stratford, and specifically makes these reels for Ontario/Great Lakes river and streams. Islander/Kingpin reels are made either for out west fishing or float fishing for carp and creek chub in England - take your pick. Email/ Call him and met up with him if you can, he's an awesome guy, and will always stand behind his reels no matter the issue.
