  1. yup same here, have a old quantum pro tour weighs a ton, put a revo sx on it great stik but 30 minutes elbow wrist start bugging me, i found the legend so light with a core mvg5 i can pitch with zero pain all day,
  2. live coverage from texas, these guys are some serious sticks. http://www.bassmaster.com/tournaments/2013-elite-series-falcon-slam
  3. see if there is a removable plastic plug in the cowling to give access to the bolt from the outside.
  4. same thing i have done my whole life if ems is not on scene get out and help, didn't do all that emergengy first aid for nothing, seconds count to save a life. can't blame your friend in his own judgement he believed that everything was ok
  5. i went through this many times and your gonna get all kinds of advice. My advice spend the 260 get a st.croix legend tournament strong sensitive and very light can pitch it all day, only thing that comes close is a nrx without the pricetag
  6. thanks Greg, beauty fish for sure, it would be worth the price to spend the day with you on one of these lakes, be great learning expierance
  7. yeah you want some help ? could drag a couple over for you on the sled, give me an excuse to get out
  8. I can pay in lead but no one is buying
  9. fine with me, have a full tank in the sled, need to burn it off
  10. yup want help rigging a 24 vt system give me a shout can always find room for a second or third battery and make it look good
  11. the two bow mounts i had worked ok both 56lb replaced due to age have a 28lb transom that leaves something to be desired mind you. my maxxum always get's tangled up with weeds even with the weedless prop but so did the mg which prop you running on the mk most likely the difference think i have a weedless wedge should update to ww2
  12. gonna be tough for both requirements with what you have, there currently isn't ant TM from motorguide or minn-kotta over 55-6 lb with a 12 vts system. what I would suggest is having a couple props for the motor, a 3 bladed machete prop will give you the speed and they have a smaller diameter 4 blade for chopping up the weeds. Some advice i can give you is to sharpen the leading edges of your current prop, you won't believe the difference a sharp plastic prop can make in chewing through weeds and trust me i take my boat place other's just won't follow. old t.m on my ranger was a MG I liked it it worked well enough and was a little on the noisy side after bouncing it off a dock i replaced it with a maxxum minn kota, quiet decent power cuts through weeds good amazing battery life, downfalls, lost 2mph top end motor way heavier than motorguide and have had some electrical issues like failed armature and burned brushes. overall though good motor. on another of my partners Rangers' we put a newer motorguide digital on it 84lb er, new one's really work nice, it's light no need for lift assist gimmicks, great battery life, and one of the things motorguides were known of old for were overheating/shorting out circuit boards when they were in the foot pedal, electronics now housed in lower unit greatly increasing it's life. In the end it will really be up to you which brand you choose i wouldn't hesitate on either after spending timie with both major brands
  13. had a ugly stik ice rod, that thing was indestructable ran it over with the sled couple times still never broke, wasn't the most sensitive though. that case looks awesome think you may of cost me near 300 bones been using one of those ht rod bags good for the closet but not so much travelling around
  14. passports it is then, thanks guys never know who to believe, since i got champlain on hot maps it's a good enough excuse to go
  15. Not sure have been told i need a passport or a new drivers license, if time allows want to go to lake champlain this year for pre-spawn buckets
  16. found myself without ant appointments friday afternood, decided to hit some ice on sturgeon, drilled around 10 holes before locating fish and kept 8 nice one for the frying pan. small spoons with minnows and a drop shot and minnow rig tie to a tip up were both productive as well a plain 1/8 oz jig, using mostly TJ's spoons and jigs good producers really like the red/white jig head. been nice having the lake to myself
  17. you mean the one above the spare tire? fairly common issue with all the salt calcium on the roads.
  18. try seafoam as randy said to clean it up. several days ago you posted about a light issue on the truck, did you resolve it? were you playing with any wires under the truck, it is possible that a ground could have been disturbed that's tied into the fuel pump, also were all guessing it's fuel related also possible crank/cam sensor is dropping out checked for schaffed wires in engine compartment. or just make make life easier get a gmc
  19. of the last 30 perch i've cleaned only one had white grub in them, and can't buy a crappie on sturgeon so far, gonna get out sunday have 3-4 more spots to check may find them yet!
  20. had the lake all to myself all winter no one bothering with this area the lake, managed to find to nice weeds located in 7-9 ft of water and have been having great success moving through weeds to find the fish. some days they want set lines and minnows other days flashy spoons Thanks T.j red/white jig tipped with minnow has been deadly and taken a large number of fish on that purple flutter spoon
  21. also seen that with brook trout, white flesh always filled with minnows and orange flesh usually freshwater shrimp and other shelled thingy's ate a 7-8 lb trout out of chando's few years ago white flesh tasted like a old boot guess it ate herring, same as quinte walters eating shad greasy and pretty much tasteless
  22. i guess they wouldn't play games if people wern't out there playing there own, good to see there out checking
  23. i was using my core 50 for lakers until i almost lost it taking a whiz, back to the seinna that was 50bux
