  2. Got this guy a few weeks ago in the blue zone. It looks like a coho but the kype is WAYYY early in developing and it was bigger around then long. Just kind of a weird lookin fish. Coho I guess.
  3. Was out off of Chrystal Beach on friday walleye fising and managed to get a couple 1.5 pound white bass. i havnt caught big ones like that in ages , I realized I have never eaten one before as well. Are they any good? BTW got 2 5 pound eyes and a 3 pounder in 60 feet, right on the international border. D
  4. While reading thru posts I noticed a nice sauger on Rod Caster's avatar there is a picture of a sauger. It came to me that I cannot remember ever catching one. Where would the closest place to the GTA be for a good sauger bite? Thanks Darren

  6. I suck at pitchin!!!!! I cant seem to control, the line coming off my reel. It either overuns or I dont get any velocity. Can anyone give me some tips? Reel setup? Preffered line? Anything. I am using a Curado with a medium heavy Loomis casting rod with 50lb braid. D
  7. Enter the Dragon on Mpix1 right now!!
  8. Joey.....nice!!!I sold my Super Sixty2 to my buddie over the winter. Had it calibrated by a guy in Scarborough about 20 years ago and it still works! But I would love to have an HD-8!! Never owned enough to be able to make a decison, but having to pitch out the 32 bucks is like them rubbin your nose in it. D
  9. Thanks Guys Lew... you dont get to see or smell it after a weekend of trolling worm harnesses on Erie!! Yikes!
  10. I wish they would genetically alter rock bass to grow to 10 pounds, how much fun would that be!!!!
  11. Gets a nice run of white bass in June sometimes. Never know what you might find in may or june. Big carp as well below Speers and a few largemouths as well.
  12. Perch, white bass, drum and smallies
  13. Got out last night after work off of Bronte, east wind came up in the PM and started to make things kinda lumpy out there. i think what they say about winds from the east fish bite the least. Most fish we spotted where in the 120 to 140 ft mark 40-65 down. Marked alot of fish but lock jaw for us for the first few hours. Here is the best bait we found, worked it over 4 times I would love to see what this looks like on an HD-8 in downscan. Finally around 7:30pm after draggng spoons we switched to SD and a fly in chratruese with white fly we had this one hit. Just a hair shy of 40 inches but slim, fought like a much bigger fish as he hugged the bottom and dogged it out. My best king of the year but then again I have been hitting the blue zone for the last month. but like a bonehead I forgot to take a picture with my tourney sign!!!!!! DOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Sorry team 4! Darren
  14. Not worth your time in that area, best to head east 30 minutes and get past Kingston and into the river. The reach is pounded by people trolling cranckbaots in the fall and I still have not heard of a muskie coming out of this stretch ( tho they must be a couple) I have always wondered this too , why there isnt more ski's in this stretch.
  15. Thats where you have been. I have been waiting for your great largemouth posts!!
  16. Got to see James Brown just before he passed away....awesome...also saw George Calin just before he passed away....maybe i should stop going!!
  17. Me too Brian. I have 2 large bucks on the property I am hunting. I might apply for the elk hunt next year since I know a fair amount of farmers north of Belleville and I have a few years of Elk under my belt. Great deal on game cams at BPS next week. Darren
  18. You might have a problem with that Rapala tripping your diver since it pulls fairly hard.
  19. Does anyone know if these spoons are still made? If so does anyone know where I could buy some. I think they are/were made in Rochester. They are my favorite slider lure and i am down to a couple and getting desperate. D
  20. Those are awesome perch congrats!!! Mind if I ask what Port you left from?
  21. For the last week I have been taking advantage of the flat water on Lake O to run offshore in search of a big trout for Team 4. On thursday evening I was the only boat on the water in 350 feet of water straight out from credit. I think it was one of my favourite evenings on Lake O, it was flat and calm and as far as we could see there were surface feeding alewives for miles. We trolled with lines down 15 feet and went 7 for 9 in two hours of fun filled airborne action. 4 of the fish were cohos in the 10-12 pound range, plus a bonus 11 pound bow. Unfortunatly I ddint have a camera , my buddy kept a 10 pound coho for the smoker. This morning we returned and could not find any bait so i went west hopuing the east wind yesterday blew the fish down the lake, found them in 250 and only went 3 for 5 but the 2 cohos were 10 pounds and the bow I estimated at 16-18 pounds. biggest bow in ages and maybe ever for me. Enjoy!
