  1. Hey bass, you did a sweet job on the hardwood floors. It's good to see a contracter that goes that extra mile (literally) to help people out and that also do the job right. Keep it up.
  2. My family and I would like to give our condolences to you and your family. Those were very thoughtful and touching words that you wrote about your father.
  3. Hi all, Here's the situation. A fellow OFNer (sorry no names) has invited me to go out Salmon fishing and he said that I need some waders and other stuff to go. I can get the other stuff but I don't have waders and I wasn't planning on purchasing any until next year. I'm moving to first house soon so money is tight right now. If anyone knows where I could get a set for REALLY cheap or borrow (I live in Oshawa) then I would appreciate it. I really want to go Salmon fishing. I'm not sure how you measure them but I wear a size 12 shoe if it helps. Thanks for any info.
  4. nice sized smallies you got there and great pics too, keep it up.
  5. congrats on your pb muskie Cliff. We were at Scugog and we didn't catch any Muskie, just 2 little Perchs. Also, congrats on another Salmon. Nice pics too.
  6. Well my son and I went night fishing tonight and we got skunked,as usual. But atleast we spent some quality time together. He wanted to try out his new Little Cloe (glow) that he got for his birthday. His birthday was on Sept 28 and I was hoping to get him out night fishing with his new lure but he was pretty worn out from his party and excitement of the day so we didn't go. I showed him how to light it with the flashlight, still trying to get a blacklight, and how to retrieve it. He usually uses a bobber so retrieving it was different for him. But he caught on pretty quickly. But you know kids, if they aren't catching then they don't stay put. He changed up his set-up for a hook, worm and bobber. Nothing that way so he tried one of my spinner baits and nothing also. So he put down the rod and just started playing. Atleast he didn't get skunked at Lake Scugog earlier today, he caught a tiny Perch. So not all was a loss. After we were done we went to Timmy's and we each got a donut and we just chatted about kid stuff. He's excited to be 6yrs old now. He said that he wants to get out at night again so I told him maybe we'll try next weekend. Well that's it from us, sorry no pics but no fish to get pics of.
  7. Man, I don't have a backyard yet, soon but I wish that it could look like that. Nice place you got there ecmilley. Nice fish too.

  11. not sure about the rods, new to fishing but I have to ask what does tribs mean? Just curious to know, keep hearing about tribs so I thought that I would finally ask. Thanks
  12. atleast you caught some and great pics of the trees. I would never take my kids to a place with that many people. Would definetly get some tangles with the way my kids cast out. We'll stick to our ponds, they are still biting.
  13. nice looking bass and congrats on the tourney.
  14. Hey sled, my son can't believe that that musk is almost as long as he is, wtg on the catch. Cliff and Bly, what can I say but can I go fishing with you guys next . Any ways, nice fish and pics, keep up the great fishing.
  15. Well we hooked up with another OFNer family. Rana and his family came from Brampton in hopes to catch some fish. I wont tell you how they did, I'll leave that up to them. As for me and the kids, wife had a prior arrangement, my little fishing superstar daughter went 2 for 5 today. She caught 2 fairly big sunfish and she wont take pics holding the rod but aleast she is posing with them still. My son, who always catches fish got skunked. He was not a happy camper, especially when his sister caught one before he did. What a site. He did get 2 on but they came off before he landed them. Next time little buddy. My kids had a blast playing and fishing with Rana's daughter today. And we thank you Rana for the great day. As for me fishing. My first cast went out and bobber went right down upon hitting the water. FISH ON. It ended up being a huge sunfish. Second cast went out and within 5 seconds FISH ON. Another big sunfish. I ended up catching 5 sunfish and lost one while waiting for my son to try and net it. Here's some pics of the day. Daughter's first fish of the day. Her second one. Here she is waiting for number 3 but she lost it landing it. My son and Rana's daughter. My son was trying though. My kids had a blast playing and fishing with Rana's daughter today. And we thank you Rana for the great day. Maybe we can hook up another time for some great fishing.
  16. Great report. Glad to see that axe murders don't like to fish or atleast not at night, too busy I guess. Anyways, when you go to pick up a tire repair kit look at some cameras. Some pics would have been great.
  17. Those are two sweet looking Salmons there Cliff. Man you got the touch for night fishing, wish I did. Any how, congrats on landing a first in the canoe. Keep up the great reports.
  18. Good job on checking off some more fish species on your checklist. Also, nice pics of the fish too. It looked like it was a great weekend for you two.
  19. great tip for glowing lures. As for blacklights, they shouldn't be to hard to find now that Halloween is coming. You'll just have to pay more than a buck for it. As for finding one at a dollarstore I'll tell my wife to keep an eye out for one, she loves dollarstores
  20. nice pic to bad it got away on ya. Next time though.
  21. I just recently purchased some new lures, some spoons and rattles. My question is with the spoons. should I be putting live bait on these spoons or nothing. Also, I know that spoons are used for Salmon but can they be used for other fish to and what kinds? Thanks Going to try my luck again this weekend with the kids, will post pics.
  22. Nice report and pictures. As for Kareem our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
  23. Congrats on your Salmon and yes it can get exspensive and very addictive. My kids ask me to go fishing everyday.
