Anyone have the stocking info for coho salmon for ontario.

Fish had no fin clips so it wasnt a stocked fish. I didnt see many flashes in the pool so i dont think there were many.

Sorry I didnt bother reading the other post so forgive me if it has been mentioned. for the money diawa regal is a great reel. Smooth drag has stoped its fair share of salmon.

Spent the day with JDMLS and we had a riot lots of laughs. Managed a few boots but this one caught me off guard. On a side note seems like the main pushes are over with little spirits coming in now. We were fishing extremely close to the lake so there were know white tail half dead spotted salmon around. Also BBNOTTY has gone in for surgery on his back wish him good luck and hopefully a fast recover so we can start cranking steel. thank JDMLS for landing my fish pretty sure my heart stopped a few times lol. good times good laughs . Just another fat hen And the one that went nuts on me look at this ho... thing is so fresh. (ps the fish was caught in the pool below the rapids we just landed the fish there.)

I haven’t fished with a spinning rod for salmon in years. The longer the rod the better. A medium action with 10 pound main line 5-8 pound fluorocarbon leader. Leaders can vary in length 12-24 + inches depending on water clarity. so this is the se up get some fixed float such as the clear redwing tackle one I use 4 gram float then put your split shot below the float from largest to smallest usually all u need is bb size and n1 size. Small micro swivel with your leader and then use salmon eggs or flies.

Theses lines look like there from a fashion show to many bright colors there just for guys who want to be noticed. These lines defiantly will catch more anglers then fish so be smart and dont get caught.

I am also looking for one! I think its best to buy them from a store I think simcoe bait and tackle carries them.

So many happy people this is odd. Nice to see someone who loves fishing so much... but that smile on his wife’s face might have something to do with all the times he left her home alone!!! so to all my fishing partners do not let your wife feed you to the fish no matter how much you love fishing because every time she tosses out a ball of bait she’s saying member when you left me alone or remembering anytime you chooses fishing over her (almost always).

Hey to all the float fisherman out there I was wondering what pound test you all use on your centerpin reels. I currently use 10 lb p line flouro clear I have never broken my main line on a salmon or rainbow. So it has been working well for me but I am concerned that maybe ruining a 10 lb main line may be visible to the fish. I do use flouro carbon leader. What do all you float fisherman think does main line make a difference or as long as you’re using flouro your main line lb test doesn’t matter much? Thanks

I have started to use a bait caster and I am using braid right now on it. I love the fact that there no stretch but I was reading other post and people have been stating that brain looks un natural to fish. my question is I was told it’s hard to cast with mono on a bait caster? and would one give you more casting distance then the other? also is it better to just put a mono leader on if I like the no stretch of braid? No not that part of me guys get your head out of the gutter!! lol As most of you know a few months ago I had a nice wipeout on my dirt bike. I broke my wrist and had my surgery witch was the most painful thing I have gone through like I came out of a saw movie. Well it’s been 9 weeks I believe with a cast (has become a part of me) on and it has finally come off my hand looks like a bears back and is white as milk even though I am natural dark skinned lol. Well its good to have it off one pin was removed but the screw remains in there I got some nice battle scares but besides that bring out the sun because this farmers tan will not help with the ladies. Thanks to everyone who supported me before my surgery. And as for the bike my parents swore it was going to have to go but my dad brought it to the shop for repairs he still claims its going but I think that’s only because my mom wanted to kill him when she found out he brought it for repairs lol. Once again thanks everyone and especially bbnotty gerritt and ccmt for constantly checking up on me.

This may sound stupid but ussaly how do these fish get to these ponds? do people bring them there or ive heard of brids flying from pond to pond and sometimes fish eggs get stuck to them(dont no if that true or not).i got a few storm ponds near me maybe gotta check them out one day.

wow boys take it easy. micropterus hole i believe ciceri was using the term bud in replacement for a name not to offend you. but at the same time ciceri this site is amazing once you get to know people or even contribute a bit people will help you out i would know theres a hand full of guys i talk to on this site that when i need to ask them for help they always send me to the right place but at the same time Ive gotten to know them just by posting on here usually it a 2 way street they help you if you help them. just keep contributing and getting to know people and i am sure with time people will help you. i see your young i dont target crappie so i cant help you with that but if you have a boat i know honey harbor has decent pike and muskie i belive might want to give it a shoot. stick around and get to know people. o and when you go to a new board contributing before asking for spots is normal and some people take it offensive to just ask for a spot that took them years to find but like i said contribute and someone will i am 16 so i am young to and i know there are many good people on here who will with time send you in the right direction. remember the best things in life take time weather it be finding a fishing hole getting someone to tell you a spot or finding the right girl but that usually takes ..... a very long time lol. so yea if you want pike try honey harbor g-bay can be tough. i got a cottage in wasaga beach if your near there pm me maybe well hook up all get you onto something. take care and stick around it has its rewards.

Gerritt thank you very much for your help. I must say I must have it good most my pain came with having my temporary cast on. It applied allot of pressure to that area. Now that I have my permanent cast it doesn’t hurt as much as before. They put one on to protect my wrist but they already warned me chances are extremely slim it will heal that way. I am able to find the comfort zone were it doesn’t hurt but a little bit of pressure or pulling kills that words can not explain. Thursday day I go to see the specialist in regards to surgery will pm you as soon as I get back to let you know what is said. Thanks everyone pain goes away so that not my biggest fear but not being able to fish will kill me but seems like i should be OK. solopaddler that makes 2 of us who have almost died and i am sure many more. theres more to my story that i am thankful for but that would make me look really stupid if i were to say it. Gbaygiant it sound like your buddy is fighting to many big fish to bend the pin jk but seriously he must be working hard or something to be able to bend a pin.
