Actually...smooth drag is a must have too, so don't cheap out on the reel!

If you're stream fishing for bows/browns/specks...all you need to know is.... LIGHT LINE and TINY hooks! Everything esle, is give or take. Doesnt matter what rod/reel you have. LIke it was said before, you don't need the $1000 combo! STEALTH is key for trout.

I just bought a Clam 2000 from BPS. Great shelter, and EASY setup. Literally 1 min to setup with two people. 2 mins with just yourself!

I'd have to agree with most things said about the plastics. Def get some senko-type baits. They are worth their price in gold on those tough days. I am going to switch to plano boxes for sure now!

I think its total crap that the fish needs to be killed to actually have a "record". Especially now-a-days when green/conservation is such a HUGE issue around the world. Kudos to him for being the bigger man and releasing that fish! Everyone KNOWS its a record, so that's all he needs to know! Wicked fish!!!

Does anyone know of a marine place that's open past 5 pm on fridays, and works on Yamaha engines? I am picking up the Ranger tomorrow, and I have to get it looked at within 14 days to ensure everything is OK with it. Ideally, I'd like to stop on my way back tomorrow and have it looked at. I'll be going down hwy 11, then 400, then 401 east to Port Hope. Any help is much appreciated.

Not to mention it would keep those pesky panfish from nibbling off the end of the tail! Also, not a bad idea to increase your hook-up percentage on "short" strikes. The fish would basically be biting the hook, since there is no emtpy space between the tail and hook itself.

Why not? They are both qwerty keyboards, and you can use two hands to type with. With it's auto complete/spellcheck you can get going pretty quick. At least I can anyways. You can get cases that have an extra battery pack in them. Case
