  1. local bass club had another open tourny on sunday, turned out to be a great day, me and my partner Kevin headed out in the old tracker and managed a 4th place finish out of 11 boats with 20.47 pounds and won big fish with my new personal best smallie 6.06 pounds, what a pig! in the pic i'm on the right and the 6 pounder is in my right hand.
  2. It is the 19th my bad LOL!
  3. There is a open bass tournament out of Crystal beach on Sun oct. 18th, 2 man teams,$50 a team and that includs big fish, supposed to be sunny with 5 km winds should be a great day, 7:00 a.m start to 2:00 p.m, must have working livewells , no live bait, 5 fish limit, catch and release, again at the Crystal beach launch.
  4. Nice fish! Radine, this time of year tubes and drop shoting work best, colder water slower presentation, be aware of the wind as well , if it's blowing from the south fish the north sides of the reef ect. feed bag is on and there chasing the bait fish, the wind blows the bait fish around, yesterday was the bassmania tournament out there and there were bags of 25 pnds plus and a big fish of 6.40 pnds, there there you just have to find them.
  5. JAck i'll take you up on your offer if you still have a seat available, my baby will be sleeping by then LOL.
  6. G.m had a simialr problem in the early 90's, and they added a booster to solve the problem, my 1990 rear brakes never worked from new drums rusted and shoes swelled up from lack of use, it was this way till i purchased my 1999 and they took my other truck as a trade in, luckly my buddy bought it and that's when they added the booster, the booster was secondary after the master and only hooked to the rear brake lines, most trucks now have this booster is it maybe the booster failing and not appling proper pressure to the rear brakes, spinning the tires on a hoist and aplling brakes would make them stop but under load not so much, if the a.b.s is not working it should throw and store a code regardless, and if it did fail you should have maual brakes, unless there is bad wiring for the a.b.s and the moister causes it to malfunction, but then again it should throw a code. I got to research this some, got me wondering now, feel your pain about mida, had a simialr problem with canadian tire , ended up having to go in to the shop with the mechanic and show him what to do, very frustrating, i,m a mechanic by trade , heavy trucks, usually do all my own work , but this was last winter when i had knee surjury and could'nt do it myself.Just my too cents worth , sounds like a pressure problem or maybe a blockage even, hard to tell. Wayne
  7. you guyz will love perfect vue, great cabins, sleeps 4 or 5 if you use the couch, nice docks , launch is alittle tricky if you don,t have a 4x4, sandy beach, i stay there every year for opener! Joanne is super nice!
  8. Just for the record, i had in fact posted the tourny information, several weeks back, i guess it got over looked, i,m sure if someone looks back they'll find it, second of all i have nothing to do with this tourny other than to enjoy fishing it every year, i made my post as a report not a plug, just to give guys a idea of how great this tourny is and that any one can fish it not just the pro,s, Niagara bass masters, along with the st. catherines club and Dunnville club set this thing up and they do an outstanding job, the link was supposed to give you awareness about the cause ,Ugliefish thanks for being my partner, it was great getting to meet a new member and i'm sure the other 2 guys that got to spend a day fishing with a pro enjoed there day as well,
  9. Congrats to all the winners as well! What can i say, what a great event, held by some great people, Pete and Julie you did a amazing job as always. Fishng today was tough to say the least but many teams manged to pull it together at the last moment and in true fashion, our team managed to weigh 4 fish and my partner caught a nice 40" muskie dragging a tube on the river, thanks to everyone involved, and the niagara boat club for there help and a wondrful dinner, i really look forward to these events put on by the bass clubs they do an outstanding job and i feel really privaliged to have been able to contribute to such a great cause, my hats off to you guys Keep up the good work!! Would like to thank my partner Darrell for a great day of fishing and some great conversation. i look forward to next year! Afew pics of the day!
  10. Does anyone know if you can use the opimax merc injection oil in other merc 2 stroke motors, i really can't see why not as the optimax oil is a better grade and synthetic, any input would be great! Thanks
  11. Lake erie near fort erie.
  12. Me and the wife decide to hit crystal beach to do some bass fishing to give her some practise for the upcoming guys and gals tourny, boy she did not dissappoint me, handled it like a pro, and out fished the sh@#$T out of me LOL. Although there was and instance when those long rolling ways were getting the best of her , but she held in there like a champ, sure can't wait till next weekend. Not much size but we had great numbers, very lite bite and they were hugging the bottom.
  13. I own a 04 pro- guide v-16 side console , love the boat, most of my fishing is lake erie, lake ontario, bay of quinte, i have had no worrys being on the water, cuts nice , hole shot is great with the 2stroke 50 hp.gets up fast wide, deep, i like the side console best because of the openess for fishing, best bang for the buck and most include the fishing package as part of the original price, unlike other boat companies were this is an extra, mind you at the time if i could have afforded sometthing else i would have maybe bought a lund or princecraft, but after doing the math, the tracker was the best bang for the buck, also do the 7 year payments works out much better, good luck with you choice! P.s if i could have done it over again i think i would have spent the extra for the 4 stroke 60 h.p, i don't believe it's all that much more, Wayne
  14. Decided to hit the upper niagara this morning with the son and his friend for some smallie action, had bought a new dropshot setup to replace the one i had lost so i needed to get the stink off of it, morning was nice overcast and about a 7 km wind managed a few nice fish ,but around 11:00 the wind started howling like crazy, river was capping pretty bad so we decided to play it safe and head home early, in pic 1 the waters near flat and in #2 holy crap LOL, all in all a great day ,aways nice to get the boyz out, better fishing then getting into trouble. Matt me
  15. LoL ya ... someones going to get a great surprise snagging that set up from the bottom, new model this year stradic and crucial drop shot rod... sighhhhhh!
  16. Headed to the upper niagara river again this mornin, fishing seems slower this week i suspect the fish are heading to erie or at least starting to, got 10 or so smallmouth ,nothing big, but they are sure fat, lost a life jacket somewheres ,but he worst was my drop shot rod, got snagged up on something, usually the dropshot weights just pull off ,not this time, starts spoolin me so i grab the line with my index and middle finger, usually the weight pulls off, burn my 2 fingers so i let off and woop there goes the rod and reel, man what a aweful feeling, had to laugh what else could you do LOL, just not how i wanted to upgrade, so here are some pics , hope you all had a better day than me!!
  17. Got a great chance to take my oldest boy out again and his buddy as well, they wanted to do some bass fishing so due to the wind we decided to hit the upper niagara river for some smallies, slower day for the smallies, boyz had a great time and my boy got a little bonus muskie to boot, all fish were released to grow into some monsters, always great fun to get the young guyz out, just real glad their still showing interest in it.
  18. Johny was heart pounding for sure!Man arm my arms sore today LOL!Those were just the fish we kept and a small one that wasn't going to make it, we released lots of smaller fish , was a blast for sure.
  19. Well the day started out great nice weather, steam out and set up rods, banged 3 fish pretty quick then the bite died down, but Bowen not easy to give up switch things around and we were back in business, lost count of how many fish, and yes i lost a nice one after 15 minute fight that was still out quite a ways, had one salon who hit a dipsy and thought he could out run the boat and almost did LOL, i think we had 2 or 3 double headers, great day to be out with some great people, Bowen runs a top notch business, he really knows his stuff, would like to thank Joe for the invite it is always a pleasure to get out and fish with him and little Joe, for anyone interested Bowen is top notch and will get you on fish, although he diid land the biggest fish of the day, geesh you would think these charter guyz would leave the big fish for the customers!!!LOL enjoy the pics! Bowen with the big fish of the day!!
  20. Wow, what a win, well deserved, i'm sure it was alot of time involved, let's see that baby!!!
  21. Went out for a evening fish on sat nite with the wife and the youngest boy, was hoping for some walleye, but they were not cooperating, managed some nice pics of some tall ships and a nice storm cell that went over us.
  22. Those 5 were from 1 drift we did,i got a fish on Kevin netted it with one hand bang he has a fish on, put the bass in the well, net kevinns fish bang i got another on, and so on for about five fish, it was crazy, we hit little pockets of fish threw out the day and when they were on we fished it none stopped till the bite died down then released the fish, eriie was rather rough today so we kept to the river, al fish were caught in 10 to 15 fow, just crazy action at times.
  23. Managed another sunday with my fishing buddy Kevin, well over 20 fish again today in 3 or 4 hours, they were on and off at times, but when they were on it was 4 or 5 per drift.
  24. i had the bucket leak on me to, as well as the bagged gulp, kinda melting into big blobs, sent them a message as well and they are sending me some new pproduct to replace all i had lost, the best bet for the gulp in the bucket is to buya really good sealable container to put it in,
  25. Jack is so right! Cross that magic line or those bouys and the calvary comes a running, sure makes for a great elusion though, in actual fact it's about 2 or 3 kms, on the water it just looks closer!
