Ethan wanted to go for a walk this morning to see the deer so off we went.I saw them right away when we got there but they also saw us as keeping a 7 year old in stealth mode is too hard,lol.We never got close enough for pics but at least he got to see them.Off we went for our walk and took some pics.Here are some of the original house from the area we were in. The colours in the walls were amazing.Here is one of our views from a hilltop. I still managed to find some colour out there. One more of the bandstand in the park. These last 2 Ethan insisted I include. Anyway,nothing spectacular but that was our morning walk.

I like that shot, the branches in front really add to it rather than just having the moon.

Santa was very good as I got the one thing I really wanted and I got it early too.My new camera. I hope everyone is having a good Christmas

Each of the last 3 days I have gone out into the forest and fields,wading through snow dirfts and high winds trying to get some pics of deer.I had seen one but was not close enough and by the time I was he was gone.Last night I found them but by then it was getting too dark to get a good shot so this morning after opening gifts I went back to the same area.This time I followed tracks,saw where they had laid down and done their business but still no deer.Time was running out and as I came over a ridge this is what I saw. Finally I caught up to them.They were not very photogenic though. When they saw me they ran but not this one. I sat and watched this one for a good 20 minutes before leaving.
