Paris just got hit with one that is heading your way as well. Really strong winds but did not last long. This area is actually under a severe storm warning now.Just a heads up.

Hey all. I am looking for somewhere to take the kids that will keep them busy. The rivers around Paris are really low with not much happening so needless to say the kids lose interest quickly. I was on the Brant conservation areas web site and it mentions fishing ponds with carp. I am not concerned with river access from here as you can just go to the other side and not have to pay a fee. If anyone has tried these ponds is it just carp or is there panfish. I just don't want to spend the money if it is not worth it. I just know if I don't get these kids onto any fish soon they could lose interest and I enjoy taking them out. Any help would be great and thanks in advance.

I am a very new member(this morning) but thought I would add my view. I was "lurking" for the last while and never registered for the simple fact I had nothing to add. I kept coming back to this site because I enjoyed reading everyones posts about anything and seeing all the great pics. I realize some people lurk just to find out where to go but you get rotten apples in everything. I lurked for the fact that I have hardly gotten out and by reading posts it kind of made me feel like I did. After visiting for awhile I realized this is a great site that I wanted to be a part of. From a newbies point of view it was not to gather secret fishing spots but because everyone on here seems great and you should all give yourselves a pat on the back. I agree with how you take pictures as some have said. This is a great site and you guys shouldn't let a few bad apples spoil it even though I totally get where some are coming from.Thanks for converting me to member!

just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I have been checking out this site for awhile and decided to register. I am engaged and have three children age 14,13 and 6. I fished a lot and then for years I didn't have time to. I have started up again when time allows. I wish I could get out more considering all the places close to Paris for fishing. The fishing I like to do is for salmon and trout, lake or river. I am trying to get my kids into it as well. So far I have taken them pier fishing for salmon and river fishing. I have not posted or joined till now as I really have not had anything to post. From reading others posts I realize there are a lot of great people on this site and hopefully I can get out and post some of my own trips this year. I will be getting the kids out as much as possible for anything so should have some reports. If I can help anyone out I will. I fish catch and release only as keeping fish for me would be a waste. anyway, just wanted to say hi and hope my intro was good. I look forward to becoming a part of this community.
