  1. About 25 years ago my brother had a top water frog set-up that had 2 hollow rubber frogs connected by 8 inches of steel leader material. Wonder what ever happened to it?
  2. Love it. I bought it in the spring of 2013 from a member here.
  3. That boat looks like the tiller version on mine.
  4. Well there's 2 of us. And here is the flip side with the ballast: 3.5 inch weighs 5/8 oz and the 3 inch is 7/16 oz.
  5. Borrowing from Monty Python: Not dead, but dead-ish.
  6. I picked up a few gifts for the bass fishermen in my boat for opener: Not sure if they'll replace rubber frogs but at least they don't have legs to get pulled off.
  7. Snack recall at BPS and Cabela's: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/listeria-recall-issued-for-snacks-sold-at-cabelas-bass-pro-shop-outlets-1.3629095?cmp=rss
  8. 50 odd years before nutrition plans and off season strength training schedules?
  9. Likely easier to buy a shotgun. Man, they were fun.
  10. I haven't seen it but they say lightning can and does come on clear days.
  11. So many places to fish so little time. I'd fish/hunt my way from one end of this country to the other and then go top to bottom doing the same. During those travels I'd look for the perfect place to build a home to fish and hunt. On those rare times I wasn't fishing or hunting I'd travel the world.
  12. News mentioned that there is a bit of a shortage of fuel for some stations. Today in Barrie I noticed that 2 Shell's had 0.00 on their signs.
  13. Interesting to see a similar injury of 2 different fish.
  14. Like many things every time they do it and don't get zapped just emboldens them that it isn't going to happen next time. If they're right, they fish. If they are wrong, there's a good chance they're dead.
  15. Swiped that image. My buddy from college and I don't talk much but when we do we make fun of each others ability to hunt or fish. The best part is he is from Timmins.
  16. There used to be a tv commercial that had a guy holding a spinning reel upside down and reeling backwards that drove me nuts. It played for years.
  17. The internet strikes..... again.
  18. Well that didn't work. Anyway, if someone wanted to see the photos you'll be able to find them.
  19. 39 sports Illustrated covers alnoe. The flood of images is incredible. Many I've never seen.
  20. Sportsnet has a special on him starting after the Jay's game. I could look at the photos of hime for hours.
  21. Nothing wrong with small pike from cool/cold water. Ya, I have a few hundred lures and yet it's the same handful almost every trip. I had hoped that we'd catch a few quick pike and then he'd switch but since we didn't provide the evidence he never felt the need to change.
  22. Ya, I was also half expecting him to get a 40 incher on it as well. Here is the pike he caught last year while bass fishing with "his" lure.
  23. Fish weren't as cooperative as last time but we got a few into the boat and as always it beats working. Casting a blue/silver cyclops: Trolling a husky jerk: I caught a twin of ^that^ one casting a x-rap and we had 3 fish for dinner. My son didn't get any pike into the boat but he did snag this casting one of his favourite lures (He bought it last year with his own money, then caught a pike with it the first time he used it, and no matter how much we suggested better pike choices he insisted on using it).
  24. I do see some similarities though so it could be a relative.
