  1. For what it is worth Cooke is not considered a repeat offender under the rules of both the old and new cba. The injury was nothing more then an accident. Why every player doesn't wear kevlar is beyond me.
  2. Two Saturdays in a row and the zeros produce a zero. Maybe they can ask to play on a different day. Then they won't have to worry about their "fans" selling tickets to another teams fans.
  3. I don't fish for perch too much but you don't have to go out too far from shore to get them at the bottom of K-Bay. If you go out from Minets Point you don't have to go far to be in 70 plus feet of water. I've caught whitefish out from there but not lake trout, but I haven't fished it much so take that for what that may be worth.
  4. Figured today was a good day to take my son out on the ice for the first time. We hit the bottom of Kempenfelt Bay because I didn't expect him to last more than a half hour and I hoped the perch action would a least keep him semi busy. Ten feet out onto the ice and he said this was the spot to drill. 11fow not much action. I convince him that a little deeper might be better. Second spot is 18fow and we get some perch, but they are small. I sugest another move and we're off. 23fow and the screen is showing more activity. We get some more small perch and a four herring. After three hours I'm the one to say it is time to go home to get something to eat. Maybe his snow suit dries out in time for tomorrows tobogganing. I hope this is the first of many fishing trips.
  5. Nope, but if someone was having problems they would likely not be able to tell us here either.
  6. That's sucks Lew. Those flowers that you ordered for Valentine's Day are sure going to be in rough shape.
  7. As others have stated most of our secret spots are not as much of a secret as we'd like to belive. That said, I'm not adding to the pressure by providing the interweb with pinpoint directions. Also I am even more protective of spots that have been shared with me from someone else. There is also a hierarchy for species/spots. A bass shoal on a big lake versus a tiny brook trout stream near a big city.
  8. Ouch. I was burning the end of some plastic rope and some dripped on to my finger. Sort of a small scale china syndrome.
  9. Should be quite the gang at the show. The traffic on the site might even drop a bit.
  10. This has likely already been brought up but: I don't care how hard they make the written test if it doesn't have a practical component how useful is it really? My wife has never really driven a boat but with a small amount of studying could pass the boater exam with no issues.
  11. Glad you saw it as it was intended, I can't use the emoticons on my phone.
  12. Yours came with your picture on it Bill? Must be special.
  13. I love Bob as well, but it's sad to hear him now. It is time for him step back. He really doesn't know what is happening much of the time.
  14. Sometimes it's the walk to the lake, or from, that's the hard part.
  15. Achilles surgery for Karlsson. As someone who snapped his, that reaction and facial expression told me everything I needed to know.
  16. Can't believe more guys don't wear the kevlar socks and shirts.
  17. I thought we were comparing regular plastics to floating. I haven't bothered with real worms in years. No issues with my catch rate.
  18. For me, drum are bycatch during spring walleye fishing. They sure help make the walleye fillets go farther.
  19. With smaller blades and or slower speeds but thats really only because I had them. Not sure if other plastic worms sink that much anyway.
  20. Two different issues. 1. The stigma associated with eating drum. 2. The stigma associated with eating fish from a particular lake. I also mentioned the time of year because some fish from some bodies of water tend to taste different depending on the season.
  21. I've had drum from Nipissing during the spring. Nothing wrong with it.
  22. My understanding is that they update the data every 2 years and 2013 is an update year.
