Sorry meant intent... -
Well we tried! so thanks for you suggestions! It was too windy so we didnt even launch the boat...Otherwise woulkd have been a nice day temp wise and the bite might have been scetchy with the cool water temps and up and down barometer

I heard the winter kill was bad on many of the small lakes I was intenet on frquenting this year from my kayak and canoe...Ie. island and heart lakes, guelph lake etc. Any speculations on what this will mean for us anglers?

Interested in taking the kids out for some pan fishing on easy water close to Toronto. Kids have a short attention span so easy access and good numbers would be nice. If anyone can recommend something I would appreciate it. I'll keep it quiet and never keep anything anyway. PM me if you like and I greatly appreciate it!

Floatman are you looking for any more buddies? Because Im available... Beautiful work!

The lure is sweet I would have given it serious consideration if there was a dealer close to me... Very wide and high which is great for fishing but not so much for paddling against the wind and current. I now recommend that everyone makes sure they love the paddling part as much as the fishing. I had a 5k paddle on Sunday against the wind and definitely did not love it! I now realize the weather is only perfect 10-15% of the time and the paddling can be an unpleasant chore at times. Just sayin...

I think you might just have to move...

I've never fished for them in Dunville but had super luck elsewhere with gulp minnows. Was targeting other fish and the cats wouldn't leave it alone, forced me to switch baits there

I bought the 10 footer so that it would fit iun the car easy etc. its awesome for loading and unloading. I looked for a vapor 10 here and no one had them only 12's. I saw the 10 at dicks in buffalo it looks great and comes with a bunch of stuff too I believe.

Is that where your going? and what yak are ya getting? Ive been paddling the holland river as its calm but no fish to speak of yet. Id love to get out sometime and maybe learn a little especially from a Jedi

Folks, those are the types of stories that should make us all appreciate every day and moment. For life is short and often not lived to its fullest or it's taken for granted and we become complacent. I hereby promise to fish as much as I can every chance I get from now on!

I'm going for an early paddle tomorrow and wonder what my odds will be of seeing some panfish?

Thanks for the information. The folks on this board are great people! Anyway If I'm going to spend the much, I'd like the option to transport the unit from my yak to other boats as well. Not so hard to do I don't think.... So I want to ask some yak specific questions. With the transducer is yours mounted in the hull or off the side on a mount? My boat has a rail built in so either option is open to me. From what I understand many guys are doing this twice or more befor they get it right. I'd like to avoid that. And I do like the cleanness of the internal mount. I'm just worried it will somehow decrease the effectiveness of it or something.

Ok so I'm ok with lowrance and there are several elite 4 units. $119.00 elite 4 , $169 elite 4 HDI and $ 199 with down scan imaging. Are the urpgraded models worth it? Am I going to regret not spending the extra $80 for the life of the unit ?

Need help with choosing a fish finder for my new kayak. Want to keep it as reasonable as possible but not at the sacrifice of any options. Not sure if colour is necessary, or go B&W and get more options... I'd like to stay under $300. They all look good and I've never owned one before

I hear in a lot of government depts. the old guys are retiring snd new people are running things . The new guys aren't as experienced as the old guys were.... Not sure how true it is but I heard somebody talking about it

Im an electrician and I wouldnt recommend bulbs that cheap. Whatever you buy make sure there is a CSA or at least ULc tag. Otherwise they may be sort of unsafe....I wouldnt use them in my house.

Had a Sedona and lost it along with a nice Shimano rod on Balsam last summer. Loved the reel though. I was texting and had the rod leaning off the boat when something hit it and it was gone!
