First of all I am also the product of immigrant parents and the reason I say this and how I "know" their ethnicity is by the fact that they are clearly speaking Russian and as far as who an Asian person is they are from The Continent of Asia ,they are a visible minority so its easy to tell, although I know it sounds awful and Im not a bigot, the fact is if you live in the area you know who frequents the spot. You will also know its covered in a pile of garbage. Forgive me for sounding that way, it was wrong for me to say it like that. All I can say is that I did not mean to offend anyone and sorry if I did. And if you are one of the anglers at Finch and Dufferin you can avoid the stereotype of not giving a crap about this beautiful country by taking ur dang garbage to the can.

Stereo types are gained for a reason. I recently went to check out the reservoir at finch and dufferin as a possible place to put in my kayak and maybe wet a line, I have been there a couple times before. When there it was easy to tell that the majority of anglers were not born In Canada. There were mostly, 99% asian and Russian folks, the place is covered in an unimaginable amount of Garbage. So back to my point... Will these guys be shocked to gain a stereo type of beings pigs, after seeing that place?

Let me get it wet once at least! Had my mechanic buddy over yesterday he gave it the once over, even changed the lower unit oil and did a compression test. Got 145 on both cylinders and 2 thumbs up over all and hes a tough critic. As far as Wynne goes and all the candidates in my opinion, god help us were gonna need it! And gas is going up today as if we haven't suffered enough

Well I would love to do the pool but my final destination is a friends cottage on lost channel and I think I'll be ok. I have considerable experience I've just never done it all, alone, and with my own boat....so I'm basically heading north east from Big Chute. If any mbers wanna come out PM me I'll be launching at big chute around 7:30-8:00 Saturday!

I also use 60 sun cloud glasses from MEC and they work fine. We tried them against more expensive glasses and the result was that the difference was minor and not worth the extra $

Getting out this Saturday for the first time. Gotta admit a bit nervous about launching the first time solo... I've tried to post pics but its a pain in butt and I don't have the patience. I'm fishing near midland on the Trent in the lost channel area. Launching at Big Chute any advice on what to target and what I should use???

The Shamrock Lodge on Lake Rosseau. Tons for the kids to do and meals are included. Not cheap but lovely. I was just there last weekend with the boys and they exceeded every expectation we had!

Mostly casting for now, Fairly new fisherman with limited experience. Only at it for about 3 years. I prefer smaller lakes but would like more options available. Ill be launching solo alot so the in between size of a 14 is what I was thinking. I rented a 14 side console on balsam last summer and was fine with it even in some chop it was ok. Now Im thinking 14-16....

Ok then I had similair thoughts on the space issue that the console takes up. But it makes it feel like more of a boat, I'm not completely opposed to a tiller. But I want to stay within my price range though and 16's in that price range are that much rougher...

Hello to all the good people on this site. I am in the process of selling a couple of water toys in order to buy a boat. I need help though...What I want is a 14 side console (preferred) with an at least 20HP motor. If anyone knows someone selling one Id be interested. But what Id like is all of your thoughts and advice, I need to stay between 3 and 4k.....Do I wait until fall? Im mainly checking kijiji but is there somewhere else I should check out? Help please

25 years of construction experience here. If the concrete is clean and sound "DONT DO IT!" leave it alone, it will stay looking good for years to come. If you mess with it you will likely regret it! Now if its in poor condition then stone is the best and longest lasting solution. Make sure you hire a stone guy to install. There are different products for the various aspects of the install that when used will add years to the install but realize no product is forever.

Forgive me if Im speaking out of line, being new to fishing but loving the sport emmensely, can it not be pretty much assumed that our fisheries will all be having a slow start? Im mostly a 99.9% catch and release guy as my love for the sport greatly out weighs a need for fish in my freezer. Now to the point, should we not be putting it all back for the next month or so, in an attempt to help out our fish friends? Just sort of seems logical, this forum alone has enough members to hopefully make a difference in our Province....Thoughts?
