  1. If you browse this site there is a live feed for every sporting event. Might not be the best quality but it will be live. http://www.firstrow1.eu/sport/motosport.html
  2. How far down the timber road do you go? The only lakes I've ever fished down there are Harry lake where we caught a bunch of lakers and Cree lake which was lots of walleye.
  3. Hey targa wanna go out there with me one day? haha I have a 16 ft alumacraft utility and 20hp merc. We do good out there but no where near those numbers for a day very often haha. If your a guide do you know many brook trout spots in that area? My goal this spring is to improve my skills and locations for them.
  4. Can't disagree with Targa there at all haha. My uncle has a cottage on Horwood and whenever I head out there we always do very good there too. Caught my personal best pike on that lake a few years ago.
  5. Ahh ok well if it grows, it could be interesting that's for sure. I know myself I couldn't really make it any farther than New Liskered for a day, but it would be awsome if enough people could join in that we could expand it to all of north eastern ontario eg(northbay to sudbury, up around the timmins/chapleau area and even up to around cochrane.
  6. FIshlogic, just informing you it was announced this week that Ivanhoe provincial park is going to be 1 of 3 i believe that is going to remain in operation. It will be open for at least the next 2 years and be monitored to see how it is going.
  7. The whole Ivanhoe area is phenomenal I spend most of my summer nights and weekends out around there (i live in timmins). I don't fish Ivanhoe lake often, but I know people that do. Plenty of walleyes, pike, and small mouth. If you go through the lodge there are quite a few fly in lakes as well. I know several people that have caught 10+ pound walleyes in the lake (my uncle has 2, 10 pounders stuffed in his basement that he caught on back to back nights!) Myself I fish a lot of the smaller lakes around Ivanhoe and the Ivanhoe river a lot. I guarantee you will not be dissapointed fishing there!
  8. Hey there I was wondering how many members on here live up north around the Timmins area? Me and my buddies were talking the other day about how it would be cool to get some sort of fishing league going up here throughout the summer. Have like 1-2 meetings per month with say a 25 dollar or so entry fee and have a winner take all type of prize at the end. Just a thought for some competitive fun, we were thinking of doing them on lakes like Horwood, Ivanhoe, Kenogamissi, Mesomikenda, Peterlong, Matagami Lake and the River and so on. Post here if you live in the area or would be interested in something like this.
  9. 4 stroke trolls down a lot slower and quieter than a 2 stroke though.
  10. Yeah if you need portibility absolutely stick with what you have and if you really want new get the Yamaha 2 stroke. Only reason I upgraded to a 4 was because the new boat I bought I decided to go with a long transom, its staying mounted on the back of this boat, I got a really good deal on a lightly used one and I do, do a lot of trolling. When I need to upgrade my 15 evinrude for my 12 foot car topper I will absolutely be in the market for a 2 stroker.
  11. jedi can you link me to the review? I just bought the Elite 5 dsi/chartplotter combo this past week and I'm too excited to try it out haha i'd love to read your review though
  12. If you know anybody in the states that you can ship to Overtons is selling the lowrance elite 5 dsi with chartplotter for 399 with free shipping within the united states. I ordered one today and delivered it to a friends house that is comming up in april so I'l pick it up from him then.
  13. Ah I do alot of that kind of fishing too, which is why Im keeping my old evinrude 15. If you're looking for newer and always going to be removing it, look for one of the newer yamaha 2 strokes. I know a lot of people that have em and they have no complaints. Easy to carry around, don't have to worry about what position you store it, easy maintenance ect.
  14. With all that being said. If you are looking for a motor that is going to be portable look for a 2 stroke. If its just going to be mounted onto the back of the boat most of the time get a 4 stroke (or an Etec)
  15. Tohatsu makes the motors for mercury, evinrude, nissan for under 25hp or under 30 not too sure. Thats unfortunate you must have gotten a lemon, because Tohatsu is recognized worldwide as the most reliable motor made.
  16. For Small outboards you can't really go wrong with any of the brands for these sizes .For quiet go with a honda or yamaha for power and ultimate reliability go mercury, evinrude tohatsu (tohatsu makes all these motors under 25hp). An outboard is as good as its owner, As long as you do proper maintenance they will all last forever. I just upgraded this spring as well. I had a 25 year old 15 evinrude that's still running pretty strong with almost 3000 hours use on it, but I bought a new boat this spring too so I decided to upgrade the motor too. I ended up picking up a 20hp 4 stroke Merc and I'm licking my chomps waiting to use it this summer now.
  17. That is excellent to hear!
  18. Ahh thats unfortunate haha, Im from up north so we get all kinds of different trout, sturgeon, walleye, pike perch, and smallmouths. Id love it if we had largies, bullheads and musky where i was from.
  19. Very nice variety of fish.
  20. What a scam/hassle
  21. Yeah Uncut angling. I check these guys out on youtube often. They catch absolute monsters!
  22. I really wish I could go tommorow or sunday however I'm at the residence at the corner of 404 and FInch with no vehicle and it would cost a fortune/take an eternity to get there by bus lol.
