  1. I think that Big Cliff will be your man on that lake. He knows it well. Let's see what he says.
  2. Be out in the dark with no city lights...you'll see them much better. Just a fantastic show. Don't forget to face East and bring a camera.
  3. Fishindevil uses the ladies room. I don't need to know this....
  4. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA sure beats doing nothing eh?
  5. Looks like I must be the only one who doesn't kill them. I have never in 25 years of having 20 or so kids running around the house had a kid get stung. NEVER. New kids sometimes get panicky when we're eating outside for the first few times but when you sit down with them and explain that they won't hurt you, the kids get used to them being around.
  6. Good stuff Rickster. Thanks for sharing.
  7. I get them all the time. I now have a huge nest under the back deck. They don't bother me nor the kids. I wait till fall then remove the nest every year. Some years I get as many as 5 'hives'. Tons of those types of critters here...bees and such but, it's one of the unavoidables when you have a lot of flowers. Like I said, they don't bother us and in fact sometimes provide some entainment watching them.
  8. Welcome aboard Pat. Yes Marc mentioned something about that. You picked that one up two days later?
  9. Wherever you go Chuck, catch a lot. Quinte would be a good idea though.
  10. WTG Bud, you did good. Thank you for the report....you're heading for the top my friend.
  11. Looks like a great morning Scott. Those tourney guys should be shaking in their boots.
  12. As a general rule of thumb, most manufacturers make decent equipment. It then boils down to price. With a few exceptions, I'd say that if you stay around the $100 for a new baitcaster, you should be ok. Talk to people, go in to a large surface shop and feel them in your own hands. It's a comfort thing too. You can also visit our classifieds, there are often some pretty sweet deals on rods and reels.
  13. WTG Terry. A perfect boat for you. I just can't see you on Quinte doing pickerel in the fall with a bass boat. You'll be much more comfortable. Congrats.
  14. It was a pleasure Pete. Tell John not to feel too bad. We were able to put out the fire in the den then after a few days, all the water had dried out of the carpets.
  15. Just another 20K for a boat and you should be all set.
  16. Meely, click on THIS. Then click on the PDF version under the map. It'll give you a depth chart of the lake, fishing tips and marina location. Good luck to you. ps. You can zoom in on the map by using the - and + buttons at the top of the PDF document.
  17. Ok....must have just grazed a hump with the inside rod then...
  18. Thanks for the report Richard. Which part of that was "a first' ?
  19. The mackerel run should be on next week. Spinning equipment with smallish silver spoons should net you fish near the surface.
  20. Thanks for the heads up, FOTB. Congrats to you Jamie. Did you check out the grail blurb at the bottom of the page?
  21. Shaun, copy and paste this into your browser window: http://s186.photobucket.com/albums/x276/Iceguy_2007/
  22. SPOILSPORT!
  23. I guess his leg healed up pretty good then eh?
  24. Thanks for the report, Mike. At Buckhorn, you were lucky to get non fishers to go out on the water for as long as you did. Looking forward to the pics.
  25. Dang...pooter won't let me scroll past pic #5. Thanks for the report Joey. Great pics.
