  1. Patrick, you're troll. Take a step back and review the 17 posts you've done here. Try to help people at least. Don't bash folks, we're a tight community here and you're not earning points. And hey, I'm French too...don't use it as a crutch for poor language skills, it's not cool. If you have a problem with that, PM me.
  2. That IS warm water! Really nice colours on that spot. Glad you were able to get out.
  3. His son is a member and I'm sure it doesn't make him feel too good.
  4. This rant comes up quarterly. You can watch Dave Mercer on the Score or WFN as well as watch some great videos on his site.
  5. Well Mike, I've Googled a few places and they all say that your motor should easily be able to do 1.8-2.2 mph. Even at that you can still back troll and cut that down by at least .5 and have better boat control. Guys have 115 hp rigs and are doing 3mph trolling. Seriously, there must be something wrong. Before you add a plate, check it out Bud.
  6. From what I can tell, they lived up to their part of the bargain and gave you what they said they would...lower savings. Sorry bud, it just needed to be said. When enough people get fed up paying for a commodity or service, there's always a charitable shark out there waiting to help relieve them of their money.
  7. But you didn't quote some of what JohnG wrote though. Look I inderstand your position and if you don't buy another Rapala, so be it.
  8. I tried them too.....never caught anything on them.
  9. I don't think that plastic is the best material to be using to hit rocks.
  10. Looks like a good time! Thanks for showing us.
  11. Good job Mike! That 40 Yammy should troll down slowly enough though. I have a 60 Merc 4 stroke and it goes down to 1.3 kph.
  12. Those are HAWGS! Congrats to you.
  13. Excellent report! Looks like a really nice tradition has developed out of this. Thanks for sharing.

    Got a new camera

Very nice Joey. Congrats on the new camera too. Looking forward to more of your pics here.
  15. oooooooooooooooooo That gave me shivers I'm so honoured!
  16. What did you call the frog that's sitting in there?
  17. Very nice.....you guys did a great job. Good place to pick worms too....when you have leftovers, throw them in there!
  18. Good stuff Jeff. Thanks for posting your pics.
  19. I think that most guys will boast about what they currently own. I'm no different. I have a 4 stroke Mercury and I find it very reliable, quiet and economic. I think that Yamaha is a good brand to buy as well but I don't own one. I just Googled Etec recalls and that just doesn't impress me at all. Keep in mind that this is just my opinion as a satisfied Merc owner.
  20. Frightening stuff, Cliff. Glad the youngn's stayed inside and the tree fell the right way. I don't care what anybody says, a large tree fallen over a childs swing set is just a scary picture to me.
  21. Well it ain't no tiller but it'll do I guess. Congrats to you and Betty, me son!
  22. Well said Joe. You could have used the word "socialism" instead of "communism"...they're interchangeable eh? If there's one thing you want to teach your children it's to be self-sufficient. I could go on and tell you stories but I won't. Oh, and Billy Bob, you got it right too.
  23. Patrick, if you have a problem with the laws that are in place, work to get them changed. All this thread will do here is pit friends against each other. oh, and welcome.
  24. That's real good to hear Drifter.....REAL good.
  25. I'd eat the fish out of Great Slave as well Drifter but be careful, don't be so smug. There's a reason the Yellowknife residents don't get their drinking water from the lake. You get your water from the Yellowknife river, a few miles away. The roasting process that removed gold from arsenopyrite rock sent tons of arsenic trioxide and sulphur dioxide into the air. This stuff was shut down in the late 90's and what they were able to capture, about a quarter of a million tons of arsenic trioxide is now stored underground, no more than 200 yards from the lake. That ain't a good sign Drifter. They're studying it now. Man will do some pretty nasty things for a dollar.
