  1. Way to go lew you just had to say size doesn't matter Now you went and started a whole new debate....lol
  2. they can't stop you from fishing in the lake.
  3. Our supplier just shipped us an order of it We got the leeches but the minnows are still backordered. The 3" leeches in the tub we are selling for $24.00
  4. my sincere condolences cliff that was a great tribute and I hope you land a good one Rick
  5. Made that mistake once already last year.lol Had to cut it off with a knife. This new alive stuff is supposed to be pretty neat stuff. When the leach is starting to shrivel up just pop it back in the formula that is in the tub and it will plump back up to normal. Or so berkley says..lol
  6. Just wondering if anyone has used it yet Got some of the 3" leech in the tub and am gonna try it this weekend
  7. Oh I had a great time with my son that day . It wouldn't bother me a bit if that happened every time we went out together. The thing that made me laugh the most was on the ride out of the bush he looked over at me(he is seven years old) and said "boy Dad isn't that weird I caught four fish and you only got one" Not being sarcastic just simply stating a fact. I just about busted a gut when he said it.
  8. Well the weather was bad on Saturday so we didn't bother putting the boat in the lake. Instead I took my son down one of the bush roads and walked into a set of rapids to try and get a few walleye for supper. We got in and set up on a large flat rock and I casted my sons lure (Calcutta swim shad) into the slack water to show him where to cast and then I started to tie a lure onto my line. No sooner than I picked out a lure and I hear " got one Dad" He reels in a nice 15" walleye and I help him take it off and put it in the pail. He casts out into the slack and I again pick up my rod to tie on. ""Got one Dad" Okay I'm thinking this is gonna be a short day. Help him take this one off which is about the same size and put in in the pail. My son says to me " I think they really like that white stuff in the water( the foam from the rapids) watch" He casts into it and this time I don't even bother grabbing my rod. About four cranks on the reel and "Got one Dad" Three casts and three nice walleye We fished for about ten more minutes before the rain came but he did manage a fourth and all I could muster up was a nice smallie.
  9. The Co said the same thing unfortunately they have to catch him in the act. I already called him and let him know the jerkoff was out there fishing again. Hopefully they nail him. Actually I hope the bears nail him
  10. I am so mad right now I am having a hard time typing so if spelling is off lpease forgive. Before I tell you what made me so mad a little history is in order. There is a man and woman living just north of town here that for some reason beyond my comprehension has taking to feeding the black bears that come around their house. At this point I believe they are feeding at least six or eight including a mother with cubs Anyway last year I saw him fishing a few times on the dock here in town..(River flows through town) I didn't really think too much of it at the first time but then I noticed him there every day for about two weeks and I started to put two and two together. My buddy was fishing beside him one evening when the guy caught a nice smallmouth and when my buddy said to him that it was a nice smallie the guy said "oh is that what it is" as he through it into his cooler whole. Noticed every time he caught a fish that he threw it into his cooler. When the bite would stop he would leave for the day. I finally had enough last year and called a CO that I knew really well and told him what I thought was going on. He came down and talked to the guy but unfortunately did he did not have any fish at the time. The Co told him that he was nuts if he was feeding the fish to the bears and that if he ended up getting mauled it would be his own damn fault. The guy just told him that the bears were gentle and would not hurt him The only good thing about it is the guy stopped fishing (at least I never saw him here in town anymore) But now to what got me going again Last night I came home from some friends place and went for a ride along the river front and there is the father of my kids and now his wife fishing on the dock with the cooler in between them. Went home to get my camera but they were gone when I got back I think if I see them there again I am going to be tempted to go throw him in the river Any suggestions???
  11. Voted # 3 Nothing better than fresh walleye for shore lunch. Everything else goes back though pike muskie bass and any walleye over 18" Usually keep one or two walleye between 15-18" for shore lunch if I am by myself.
