OK I understand.....have you considered storing it on the trailer at a marina/launch....we have several places around here that do that....you don't have to trailer it but only hook on and launch it right there....it's MUCH cheaper then a dock and more secure on windy stormy days/nights... Bob

Tim Horton was playing for the Buffalo Sabres at the time of his death....instead of taking the team bus to Toronto he drove his Pantera sports car to the game in Toronto because he had family and friends he wanted to spend time with after the game...Punch Imlach the first GM of the Sabres allow Tim to do this....he partied with friends and family after the game and had a horrible accident where authorities figured he was going in excess of 100 miles per hour when he missed a curve and hit a concrete culvert and throw from the vehicle because he was not wearing a seat belt. He died the way he played the game..... Rest in Peace Tim

A 16' boat is a trailer boat.....you should be trailering it to the hottest lake the day your going to fish....it would take me less time to launch my boat then it would to uncover it at a dock and put in any equipment you don't trust being left in there....not good having a dock on Stoney Lake when the walleyes are jumping in the boat at Sturgeon or Rice Lake....

I don't see why he would want to register it in Ontario......he should register it in the State he resides in....much easier and then someday when he wants to bring it back home for whatever reason and or sell it he wouldn't have a hard time explaining the Ontario registration to EVERYONE.... But anyways....since he will be leaving it for more then 45 days he will need a boating license....I believe they are still available on the internet...you pay something like $50 and answer a few questions and print out the miniature copy until they send you your real one 30-300 days later...
