  1. After studying the picture more I think you are right and it is the "inner" race that is stuck on. Penetrating oil and all that stuff is a waste of time. Trying to cut the race off with hack saw would be next to impossible because it is a hardened steel. Get yourself either a acetylene torch or if you can't get one go to a hardware store and get a "map" gas kit (cost around $35). Map gas is much hotter than a propane torch. Heat the race as I mentioned earlier and just lightly tap it off. But before you do this wipe down the whole axle clean of all the grease to prevent any fires. I am SURE this will work.
  2. These units make great, cheap, ice fishing units with a small motorcycle battery.
  3. It's hard to tell by the picture but if that is the race that is stuck on the axle or whatever it is that is stuck next to the threads on the axle I would CAREFULLY heat just that part so you can just tap it off the axle without damaging the threads. Try to concentrate all the heat on that part and none on the axle itself. Bob
  4. Relax everyone. The real sport season starts in September when the NFL kicks off
  5. I support two teams, the Sabres and any team that beats the Sens.
  6. Wire line is GREAT on Lake Erie with Dipsy Divers for BIG Walleyes.
  7. I leave my boat plugged in ALL the time when I am not fishing. I don't even take out the batteries in the winter any more. I have had this charger for 3 years now and it has kept my batteries up to snuff.
  8. Here is the one I have and recommend (Pro Sport II 12 amp) http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...600056&rid=
  9. I have had and seen problems with GPS units made by Lowrance. I have a iWay 500c for the truck and had to send it back once already. Now sometimes it just shuts down for no reason. I installed a Lowrance 480 unit for a friend and it kept losing a signal on Lake Erie every time we headed west and I had a Lowrance Loran - C unit years ago that I sent back 3 times and it still didn't work properly. However, I do like their sonar units.
  10. I have a OLD 22 year old Minn Kota cable steer motor on my Grumman. I has worked flawlessly over the years (cable drive is what most pros use). I have used power driven bow mounted electric trolling motors and didn't care for them. Every year I think my electric motor will need to be replaced because it does show some where and tear but every year it continues to perform.
  11. I will also be leaving in the morning for the West Arm. Is it true that you are not allowed to kill mosquitoes because they are Canada's national bird
  12. I love my electronics but I have yet to see any of them make the fish bite.
  13. This is common for just about ANY GM product. I just did my son's Saturn Coupe. In 7 years the brakes have been repaired 4 times with only 67,000 miles. Get use to it or buy another make.
  14. Grizzly Bear, we were you. It's Saturday and were biting, we were really biting today. Signed, Black Fly & Mr Mosquito
  15. THEN you definitely want the Swivl-Eze Wedge Power Pedestal as I posted above. I fish Lake Erie a LOT and they can't come out but yet the post is removable very easily. But I will say my older seat pedestals just sat into the bases without locking and they never came out of there bases either. Your worrying about nothing. However, I still endorse the Swivl-Eze Wedge Power Pedestals over the manual ones. You will not regret getting them.
  16. For sitting low/high I have the Swivl-Eze Wedge Power Pedestal that will also give you a air cushion ride. They seem a bit pricey but after upgrading to these from the manual ones that came with the boat I wished I had done it years ago. They lock into place but are easily removed by depressing the locking latch with your foot while lifting up. Here's Cabela's site on them. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...&id=0001725
  17. I have never seen a sadder bunch catching fish yet having a great time.
  18. I don't see anything funny about poaching no matter who is involved.
  19. I have to agree. That is a Crappie time to play hockey. Go Sabres ! ! !
  20. I fished Stony about 4 years ago and found plenty of walleye in a bay in the weeds in about 12-15 feet of water. I was popping a all black 1/8 oz bucktail jig through the weeds where they thinned just inside the weed line.
  21. We should all be treated EQUAL and ALL live by the same laws and regulations. Until this happens racism will continue to exist.
  22. I would need more info. How is your son. Would it be OK if I brought my bride. And where is Lakair, what kind of fishing are we talking about (walleye, pike etc.....) What would be the cost involved. I am assuming two different boats ? ? ?
  23. Does anyone remember 2004 when the Yankees performed the biggest CHOKE in sports history losing 4 straight games after taking a commanding lead 3-0 in the American League Championship Series over the Boston Red Sox. I LOVED every minute of it The Bo Sox went on to win the World Series beating the Cardinals four games straight. Best year in sports until............................
  24. HERE come the SABRES ! ! ! The REAL sports season starts in September with the NFL
