WHY us Rednecks don't need no stinken fishing license
Billy Bob posted a topic in General Discussion
A redneck with a bucket full of live fish was approached by a game warden in Central Mississippi as he started to drive his boat away from a lake. The game warden asked the man, "May I see your fishing license please?" "Naw, sir," replied the redneck. "I don't need none of them there papers. These here are my pet fish.""Pet fish??" "Yep. Once a week, I bring these here fish o'mine down to the lake and let 'em swim 'round for a while. Then when I whistle, they swim right back into my net and I take 'em home." "What a line of horse crap....you're under arrest." The redneck said, "It's the truth, Mr. Gov'ment Man. I'll show ya! We do this all the time!!" "WE do, now, do WE?" smirked the warden. "PROVE it!" The redneck released the fish into the lake and stood and waited. After a few minutes, the warden said, "Well?" "Well, WHUT?" said the redneck. The warden asked, "When are you going to call them back?" "Call who back?" "The FISH," replied the warden! "Whut fish?" asked the redneck. MORAL OF THE STORY: We may not be as smart as some city slickers, but we ain't as dumb as some government employees. You can say what you want about the South, but you never hear of anyone retiring and moving north. -
Yep, already read that before posting....but that's not what I caught yesterday....I caught Bluegills and Pumpkinseed sunfish...
-
Pictures of sun fish.... ....nothing magical about sunnies to take a picture of.....
-
Went fishing yesterday for crappies and struck out again but did catch bluegills and pumpkin seed sunnies....(27)large ones ....VERY large ones pushing a pound a piece.... Threw the fish in the livewell as always in the spring and brought them home alive....but after removing them and the overfill pipe that drains my livewell there was a LOT of "stuff" on the bottom of my livewell....I just thought excretions from the fish....so I grabbed my trusting garden hose to flush the "stuff" out...but on further review I noticed that they were actually small pieces of zebra mussel shells....anyone else experience this ??? I know down south they call some of their sunfish "shell crackers"....maybe this is why...

DON'T use Lithium grease for wheel bearings....PERIOD. Don't know exactly the grease you bought but DON'T use Lithium grease... Marine carpeting is not necessary....get a foot or two of any indoor/outdoor carpet for your steps...can be had at any carpet store... There are marine wheel bearing grease available that is suppose to be better then regular wheel bearing grease...not sure if it more a gimmick or not....but wheel bearing grease is a much thicker grease then Lithium grease and will handle high temps much better. What Wayne is saying is pretty simple....your bad ground to the trailer lights is because of the new hinge you installed....just bridge the gap with a long enough wire that will go from one side of the hinge to the other side of the hinge by probably using one of the bolts on each side of the hinge for ground contact...should take you about 10 minute at most. This will FIX the problem.... Bob

It all depends on how much YOU want to do this job....not very interested...then $50 or more per cutting....need the money....make the price attractive to the customer...
-
Fillet it....freeze it if need be....smoke it and ENJOY it with some cold Canadian Beer....it don't get no better then that...

I am also going to recommend the Kawarthas Lake area but will go one step better....get a HOUSE BOAT for the long weekend....when my boys were 2 and 3 years old we took them and my in-laws on a week long house boat vacation...everyone still talks about that to this day (more then 20 years later)... here a just two place to rent them... http://www.happydayshouseboats.com/contact.htm http://www.houseboat.on.ca/ THIS WILL BE A VACATION EVERYONE WILL ENJOY.... MY TORO is sold at Home Depot for $299.99 (US funds) and it's GREAT...would buy another one tomorrow if need be....from what I have seen down here in the USA the engines are the same...with a bit difference in options...I got the one I got from Home Depot from a friend's recommendation because he has a landscaping business (cuts grass).. -
Now you're on the right track if you want to fish for some big walleyes and trout/salmon on the big waters...if you only want to chase those LITTLE bass then you only need a small gunnel boat to catch those tiny fish...

When I first got married my father in-law gave me a two stroke Lawnboy...do they still make these things...but anyways I have to laugh now, because I spent more time trying to get that thing started or stay running then it did to cut my lawn.... Now I have a Toro self propelled mower and it's perfect in every way...as the wife doesn't mind doing the lawn while I'm out fishing... -
Merc, It takes a BIG MAN with a LOT of courage to post a thread like you just did....and from the looks of it, it has inspired many here in our small fishing internet community. But I'm sure you have touched many others in the last 22 years. Happy Anniversary, Bob

I have the seat belt material on my electric winch that my wife and boys bought me a couple years ago for fathers day...DON'T like it but it does work....You have to be careful that it doesn't twist while it's be wound in....and it ALWAYS does.. When I had my hand winch I found the rock climbing rope was the BEST you could get but a little pricey compared to other ropes....it does NOT stretch or rot and is VERY VERY strong for it's diameter.... So it really depends on what you like, want to put up with and how much you want to spend. Bob

NO...I'm pretty sure it was me that you were targeting and trying to degrade, berate and LAUGH at all the while I was only trying to point out the new environmental laws/CONCERNS we are all facing now...but instead you went postal on ME and then became a self proclaimed expert on the issue all while asking us other none experts for help....SORRY I tried to HELP you and anyone else here that got offended by raising the legal and or environmental possibilities that transporting and transplanting can cause.
