Left the house waaaay to early this morning, brainstorming that we would try to hit a certain creek before the rain blows it over by mid morning...Well we timed it good but the water level came up way to quick and totally shut down the steel... Fished it until about 8:30 and decided it was time to hit another river. As we were packing up , the new addition BillM flops a drift right by the slack water and gets a big take down, FISH ON....After the hook set, all that Berge , Silvio and I saw was crazy bulldogging !!!....No big runs or jumps , but Bill's rod was bowed right over getting crazzy headshakes from this fish.... Low and behold, after about 5 mins, he finally gets its head up and all I saw was a huge KYPE.... BIG BROWN COMIN DOWN !!! a little more back and forth and he landed the chunky male brown for a pic.....This thing had one crazy Kype, I named it HALLOWEEN BROWN, as it was a tad scarry looking, LOL Stopped by Tim's for a coffee and some food before getting back out in the terential downpour at trib # 2 ... I have been soaked before , but today was rediculous... Fishing was slow, but we managed a few before the rain blew us out .... Poor Silvio , hooked into a huge buck that B lined up the pool jumping and splashing... This thing was fresh, and had probably come in the river over night.. He held on for a little , but the fish broke him off soon after... best / biggest fish of the day, by far... you'll get him next time Sil !!! Here's the few we landed before the river got blown out bad..... Looks like everything it gonna be washed out until the middle of next week...Its a good , thing cause I need some sleep !!!

I think we were a little more east of you guys today... I recognize that mud Cliff, LOL !!

Here's a little , retaliation to Silvio and BBNotty's post from yesterday !!! I had a few hours this morning, and I new the rain would have helped bring in a good run of fish. Figured I would get out today as the rain we are expecting tonight/tomorrow is gonna blow out most of the rivers for the weekend. Water was the perfect greeeeen.... prob about 20" visability, which made for perfect conditions...Picked the wrong river at first light but got to the right one by about 10AM....We fished for 2 hours with not stop action, one after another !!! . The poor roe bag slingers were throwing bags out all morning and we walked in the pool at 10AM with the artificials and cleaned up... In the last few weeks I have gained some new found confidence in flies, jigs, and plastics. The take downs are so much more fierce and aggressive..What a rush when the float just drops 10" in the blink of an eye !!! Here's a few of the fish we got into First drift my buddy smacked this fat hen.... I follwed up on my second drift with this football 4th drift Steve hits this freshy Sorry, had to distort the fly... Silvio has me sworn to secrecy on it !!! A little west coast pose You wouldn't believe it , but I caught this fish again about 3 drifts later on the same single egg pattern... Even the blue heron was catching fish !!!... I couldn't believe he swallowed this 1lb steelie And the icing on the cake, was this mid teens male Buck !!....Took Steve a good 15min to finally get him in... What a battle... Amazing watching his IMX turn this fish in and out of every snag it could find. The stretch makes it look 20lbs, LOL The release

Hi Guys I am looking for a place to buy a bulk qty of 100 or more trout worms. I am willing to buy more if I have to meet a minimum order qty. In and around Toronto or GTA ...Also willing to order online, but most places over the border will not ship live bait. Thanks in advance, Dave

without rain out east, you will find few and far between .... temps are supposed to bump up into the double digits come thursday, friday. I would launch the boat.

Ya they were real nice !! The logjam looked like a prime holding zone and had good depth. Other than the HOBO and that DOE , nobody else will be down there come prime water, LOL .... Rain baby Rain !!!!!

Good to hear all went smooth the next morning..... Beauty Buck !!

Couldn't agree more...That's 3 systems this year that I have learned about hidden pools in the lower sections. Lower sections are bigger water and can be intimidating at first sight, but walk them when the water is low and you will be able to point out the deeper sections for when the water levels raise.... Then most of the time you will have them to your self, as others crowd the more popular easy sections up river, when conditions are prime.

After yesterday's hard work with little return, I was pretty sluggish gettin out of bed this morning. I Walked a creek out east with Kemper for a few hours yesterday, but the water was rediculously low even with the rain from Friday, so we pretty much cut our losses and called it a day by mid morning ... Good times talking and walking new sections of the creek, anyway. We will get at em soon with a little rain in the near future. With everything being so low out east , We decided to change it up from the usual tribs and try one that we tend to neglect , due to it being so far from home ...Well I am glad we did !!! We were down at the creek for first light, only to find the pool we trecked 30 minutes for was untouched !! Water was gin clear but a good section of the pool had enough depth to give the fish a place to sulk... Knowing the water was going to be extremely clear I didn't bother tying any roe bags for this outing. First drift with my cured single , and POW... Float gets sucked down not even 1/4 of the way down the pool.... I new thing were about to get ugly, LOL !! First beauty hen of the morning Followed by this one not even 2 drifts later After that it was one after another for a good 3 hours....We lost 2 or 3 brutes that were into double digits. I was cursing my St.Croix all morning, LOL .... Here's SILVIO breaking in his new IMX he just picked up ....Sweeeet stick First fish on his new rod...the smile says it all Here's Berge puttin the boots to this chunky male with the SAGE ..... "Engage the drag" , LOL The IMX that made me hate my St. Croix, LOL ..... Can't wait to pick one up BLOOPER !!! Berge , you kill me !!! What a day Boys... Until next week !!!

Fell in love with the Series 1 fully ported the first time I picked it up ..... Awesome reel, tolerance is golden and the startup is unbelievable for a 5" , well 4 7/8" but close enough..... There are very few, if any 5" reels that are as light as the new Series 1 ... Now if mine would just hurry up and get here from the UK , already !!!

They used to stock them in the Geen half a decade ago, but they weren't reproducing well, so the program was scrapped .... Beautiful fish , but they pretty much commit suicide running their hearts out when you hook them....Very tough to revive once you land them.
