  1. Can you imagine if a little kid did catch that, he'd get pulled in the water! Really is a beauty.
  2. WOW! if only I could fish that well!
  3. Can't hide anything from me, after a while of looking around I found your secret spot to the metre! Good fishing! PS is the lake public?
  4. Seagull and rainforest pano. got my vote!
  5. Hey sorry just had to but, may the fourth be with you yoda!
  6. Comparatively fly fishing for grayling and salmon in great britain is supposed to be better than most of canada (mostly for grayling), it is definatley on my bucket list and I'm glad you got the chance to cross it off. Also rain and wind is just another way of saying let's go back for another try!
  7. That's true and something I hadn't considered, there are lots of small islands are inaccessible by the trail and have "private" canals that no one without a boat can get to; but if you had waders......
  8. I wouldn't bring waders simply because the channels are fairly deep, if we go we'll be around ward's island.
  9. The channel has fish too, I was there last weekend and saw 2 nice pike being landed (you'll probably have better luck out deep though.)
  10. Haven't heard any stories about boats, but the service stinks! And for the record, Harry's not very nice!
  11. Might be a change in plans, if there are it'll be sunday.
  12. Good idea on the warning, but I don't think anyone could be angry at the project!
  13. It'll have to wait until next week for me.
  14. For those of you reading the post on lesser known species, it's called a longnose gar, not a gar-pike, just say'n .
  15. Great fishing, and report ( always love a long one) if you get a chance which I'm sure you will, tilapia are really easy to catch and are great fighters!
  16. Mmmmm, that looked good, actually looked tastier raw! Can't beat the kindness of folks up in Algonquin, I remember once we packed up for a last second trip, we managed to call ahead and they said that they had lots of space, wouldn't you know it it was almost completely booked up! While looking around the lake a large group called us over, said that they claimed 2 sites and that if we needed one to come over!
  17. I wouldn't be eating any either, but imagine how that's effecting the health of the eco-system, no point in fishing if there aren't any fish! Also, now I'm not sure what to do because the rice lake festival is that weekend as well.
  18. I looove a good piece of halibut, got any tips on your favourite spot in ontario for those!
  19. x2, maybe not, just found this http://www.viewmag.com/13563-FISH+CONTAMINATED+AT+LAKE+NIAPENCO.htm
  20. Great idea! I use my moms iphone all of the time for maps, I like the solar powered idea too though.
