  1. Opener's officially upon us, last week I got a 4 pound smallie and 4 pound largie so of course I'll only catch 0.5 pound fish all weekend.

  4. Thanks for all of the advice guys, I'm sorry to say that plans have changed to rice lake but will refer to this for any trips to quinte.
  5. I'm not much of a walley fisherman so I just assumed they would go deep in the heat.
  6. Heading to quite early tomorrow, plan on renting a boat out of hay bay, trolling walleye in the morning and swinging ropes for gar. I suspect the gar should be easy enough with this weather but what will the walleye be doing? I don't have a down rigger so what should I do?

  14. thanks cuzza, I have noticed some abrasion on the line and suspected that might be the reason.

  17. Too good pond is OK but again a far cry from the kawarthas, try out this place called stoufville conservation area.
  18. The line is only about 3/4 of a year old but heavily used.
