One more quick question, when my dad was buying this he told me that he went for the shortest rod possible ( for travel and weight purposes) now he is asking me if I would like to stick with the 9 1/2 foot rod or exchange it for the fifteen ft, what would be your opinion?

That's what I was thinking, there are a few places out in Waterloo area that I think might be worth a check, does the lower credit have good populations of pike?

Actually although mountsberg is full of poachers, the reason you aren't allowed to fish off of the tracks is that is CPR property, poaching doesn't have anything to do with where you are fishing.

The guys beside me (using the same lures I might add) caught 4 pike within a few hours from shore.
