  3. That Sturgeon likes to kick up the silt...
  4. I like it...I can't wait for fishin with the kids.. I'm lost in her there holdin' that pink rod and reel. She's doing almost everything but sittin' still. Talkin' bout her ballet shoes and trainin' wheels, and her kittens. And she thinks we're just fishin'. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fqOw4pUw1KU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Randy
  5. He just made it back from Japan.
  6. I love it!!... Monkey Balls.. Bolo.. Ladder Golf.. Texas Twister .. whatever ya wanna call it ... it's FUN!
  7. I've made her efficient as I could... Edge Chip, K&N Cold Air intake,JET Throttle Body spacer, 3" Magnaflow front to back and full synthetics all around, E3 Spark Plugs.. now @ about 400HP. If I tow my camper uphill a good hill , like the ones near Thunder Bay or Mattawa, for more than a minute at 105KPH it registers 0.1 MPG or 0.1Kms/100L... it won't go any lower.. I've actually seen it happen....18MPG Bobtail Hwy 11 city is the BEST I ever got...0.1HWY is the worse. I love her anyway!! Randy
  8. I have a 2000 Expedition with 280K,that tows my 30' Camper anywhere...it tows my 14 no problem ! I've had 0 ZERO, 0 ZERO.. problems in 8 years, regular preventative maintenance is key to the preservation of any vehicle. But you don't wanna hear about the MPG! I love it and dread the day that she dies. Randy
  9. I don't have a MACRO... "Close Up" only.. seems to have worked
  10. This first picture is 6Lb Trilene XL tied to a jig using the Fisherman's Knot... my "go to" knot.. #2 is 30Lb Seaguar Fluoro...on the very same jig. The knot seems to be about the same size.. I've tied it 10 times or more now and am confident that this will be a useful knot in my arsenal.. Randy
  11. Bin Wayons!! C'est vrai en s'ti...... Paul , mon ami... You hit the nail on the head with this one.. ! I've refused requests to join other boards .. I don't care what goes on elsewhere.... I'd hazzard to guess that you're not the only one that feels this way... but probably ...the first one to admit it! C'est beau mon homme! Randy
  12. I like it!!... I just tied it onto a jig and love it... very tidy and quick to tie.. I tried to take a picture but ya can't see the line.... Randy
  13. Not yet ... but soon... one thing though.. ya can't fish for 'em legally in Nipissing or the tribs south of Hwy 17.. Randy
  14. Completely free of ice !! But there are tons of deadheads..2x4's chunks of docks and too much debris to describe.... Plenty of water at the launch...river is still low by about 3' though. Randy
  15. Despite the sunshine today... I was really under dressed ... fresh air at 30Mph did me good(froze my cheeks..it'll teach me to wear pants next time) ... as will to you Bernie... Y'a really gotta love the first ride of the season... I know I did. I might go back out Sunday with the boy.
  16. 306$ to fill the Expedition .. Mazda6 and my Boat this morning.. . I also filled up my propane 2x30 lbs and 2x20 lbs for 113$.. not to mention I'm still griping about my 2036.76$ Hydro Bill... Ya know that we're in a jam when it costs 2500.00$/mo to be poor in Ontario.. Randy "buggering"? darn filters
  17. ********** NO CAMERA********** I left the government dock in Sturgeon Falls today and made my way down to the lake ... I managed to get out about 600-800M from the mouth of the river onto the lake(red buoy #2) .. let me tell you that there is still enough ice to support a truck... the "Big Pack" is still about 12" thick ..plenty of "blue" left... I predict that it's gonna take a while this year for Nip to be clear of ice ...first week of May at least... On the brighter side .. vs last season 3 of 7 dams are open with a lot of water coming through.. Walleye spawn and Silver(White)Bass run should be good this year (fingers crossed). Randy
  18. get a C/R seal... Chicago Rawhide... Get an accurate OD (outside diameter) and an ID (inside diameter) of your existing seal and call them at 1-800-882-0008... their service is excellent!! try this first with the existing part # on the seal ( they all have one) weather on the rubber part or the metal part.. http://www2.chicago-rawhide.com/popup_parts_lookup_457012.htm I used to do this everyday and 99% of the time ended up ordering the right seal for my client. Easy as 3.14.. Randy
  19. As I stated in an earlier post , it was recommended to me by our local CO's .. I and the people I support were stopped a few times and have shown a ODSP stub and proper I.D and it was accepted ... but.. the people I work with have obvious Intellectual and Developmental impairments... We now have "Community Living I.D." cards for our members.. let's hope that the MNR accepts those ... If they don't I'll be the first in line at the court house advocating for my members. Oh and I'll WIN... If ever I don't... you'll see me on the news. Randy
  20. WoW!! I'm gonna follow this one.. We had planned to do something similar this summer as well... but with the price of gas ... It's on the back burner right now..maybe next year. Simple math tells me that my Expedition and 30' Mallard would cost us roughly 2700.00$ round trip, in gas alone... cheaper for us to go to Costa Rica for Christmas.
  21. My Father In Law operates the dams and turbines here in Sturgeon Falls .. and according to his #'s we're sittin' at a little above normal... Precipitation and run off will probably be the deciding factor... let's see what can happen in 6 weeks. I'm doin' a rain dance right now. Randy
  22. Do you have a stereo? The clock and memory on my Pioneer will drain my battery in 3 days.
