  1. Line's only good for backing, its still proabaly cheaper anyways if they put backing on for you, but ur going to have to bring the reel in...I use alot of suffix and find it to be outstanding...very little memory, supple, and just an overall good line hope this helps! S&C
  2. i actually picked up 20# in timber but havent used it yet, supposed to be a little smoother than the normal stuff, and should be more rounder
  3. great chromer! was a beauty day indeed!...best of luck chris!
  4. AWESOME!!! took advantage of the awesome weather!
  5. uglystick! those things can take a beating!
  6. You can even check out fenwick's rods....they got a beauty 5'8 UL, would probably pair it with a durable reel being that you'll probably be trekking through the bush, shimano symetre/ sahara 1000 should do the trick in my opinion... http://www.fenwickfishing.com/prod.php?k=375593&sk=375593&p=PURERR58UL-F%20%281205787%29 S&C
  7. It's sad that there are still fans that root for the team, dont get me wrong...toronto is an awesome hockey city but the fact that the fans are so die hard will make them go to games regardless of how the team is performing. If people would stop showing up to games, i bet they'd make changes. They hype up the city so much and still manage to have sold out crowds even when the team is doing terrible. Just my opinion on how the organization works...anyways....GO BRUINNNNNSSSS FOR REPEATT!!!
  8. This is why steelchasers agree that trout are smarter than some humans!!!
  9. Hey All! I want to do a camping trip this year and was wondering if I can get your input. I'm having a hard time deciding between the French or Algonquin. Would really prefer a site that offers some excellent fishing as I would like to experience that true feeling of being "in the middle of nowhere". Don't know whether I should target brookies in Algonquin or some smallies/pike on the French. What would you guys do?, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot! S&C
  10. AWESOME!!! just picked up the okuma too, beauty of a reel!!
  11. being that everyone's throwing shimano's in the mix i decided to give some love to diawa and would definitely go with the Diawa Zillion! with a 7 footer Medium St.croix legend tournament ! I'm itching just by the sound of that combo!
  12. Thank all for the warm welcome!!!! Does anyone have any information regarding the ice in Honey Harbour?
  13. Hey All!! Just wanted to introduce myself, i must say, i've been lurking the forum for a week or so now and i've yet to find any other forum as friendly as you guys!!! I've been fishing for a while now and regardless of what it is, i just enjoy the awesomeness of what nature has to offer. But as you can tell from my login, im absolutely crazy about chrome!!. With that being said, i just had a quick question for you guys...what would be some safe options to ice fish for pike this weekend from around 2 hours from toronto??? I was going to find some back bays off of georgian bay or other lakes but made a few calls to some local hotels in the honey harbour area and they've been telling people to stay off... Thanks! steel&chrome
