i second LOTW or rainy lake 2 great fisheries. If u have not drove that far NW b4 u will be overwhelmed with the amount of potential fishing spots on Huron and Superior as well just along side the road itz crazy. Good luck.

lol @ jack. Theres no fish in that system it is all a myth. Cruise the shorelines from the aquaduct all the way to the launch prolly take 3-4hrs to do so but you will get into bass musky and pike without a doubt. I heard a rumour there was a 8lber pulled out from a tree 2yrs back so there is def good fish there.

theyre nice but certainly not necessary.

Try going a little deeper and using tubes and spoons straight out of port to the 3 mile will pay off greatly.

Im just getting into fishing erie walleye myself and i picked up a little bit of everything cause you have to find out what the fish actually want, i got some dipseys, jets and inline boards they are all pretty important. With jets if you find fish in 65ft of water but are only in 20-35ft down u want to use jets but if they are in 50ft of water u want dipseys and pending on the number of the spread you have out its alot easier with the inline boards to keep track of it all. So really i would say just get as familiar as you can with everything available and what other people are using and go from there.

try picking them after it rains with a flashlight prolly will save ya round 30.00

Mercer,Maina, bowman, Aaron Shirley and the Extreme team are entertaining lol i kinda like em all. -
wow i seriously don't understand what the problem here is can someone explain?? And Gerrit u didnt apologize when u know her kids read these boards, i dunno but that would kill me if i read that and i was her kids. Jen and Steve you guys are great at what u do and give knowledge to the people who need it for FREE and that to me exemplifies what this whole thing we call fishing is all about. Who cares if he makes money fishing, wouldnt we all love to make money doing what we love???? Cause he makes money for fishing means he doesnt love fishing like U or I??

Looky looky Jack, well then nice to meet u, hope to see u out there soon

GCD what the heck,u either need to go out fishing or just get over it. I know i dont post much but it is people like you bubba who give great sites like this the whole "drama" theme that nobody wants.Fishmaster is a hard working man who puts ppl all over ontario into fish im sure there are alot of people from OFC that he has helped a great deal he doesnt have a problem halping anyone out. Almost 600 posts of threads like this. What is the problem, look back last year you will see plenty of them as well. Fishmaster im sure cliffs board NRS would love the reports man keep em comming, either way your the man when it comes to the Salmonoids on Lake O thats for sure.

Paul is a class A act, everytime i have seen him on the water in Niagara his clients are having the time of their lives always smiling and he will get on the fish always.

Well then this is my expertise Totally depending on what u want to catch if it is numbers u want for steelhead the lower for sure, salmon, bass, walleye, musky pike are all plentiful in the lower as well. But this year the upper has produced some good sizes on the steelhead, bass and musky as well. Sooo pending on the season for sure. When are u going around?? If u can get to the lower for some steelhead if u ever have a chance in the open season u certainly wont be dissapointed those damn fish fight like salmon cause the current, either way if u hit the upper or the lower in the right season u will get into fish for sure.

i have xm, and the reason i got it was the 24hr led z channel, fantastic satelliete no issues with reception yet neither. Alot of rock and alot of news. The only thing is i dont get nfl and sirius u do, xm has the nhl and mlba and basketball, i think they do nascar as well. Either way i say if u like howard stern go with sirius if u like oppie and anthony go with xm.

that was a good short story. thnx

6 inch vis right now, maybe u should make plans to head to port Dalhousie if you are in the area. the sw wind last night 60mph screwed it right up.
-
ill be down sat and sunday @ queenston.
-
thats too bad niceguy we will be out bright and early prolly avoiding the crowds though.
-
fishing has been great, 10ft vis as of yesterday so the fishing will slow abit now fish will get a lil spooky just means u have to try different things so the ifsh tell u what they want. I think live minnows or streamers or imitations would work really good right now.
-
thnx for the comments. Joey your right to a extent im sure they do smell it in the mud no doubt about that but usually it is a reaction bite. Weve been out in 3-6 inch vis and landed 20 fish in the boat. Right now they are laying some traps with lakers in them leaving them for 21 days and going to test the lakers to see the level of contaniments.
-
let them think that irishfield, keeps the bugs away. The thing is the fish are always there no matter how muddy it is, ppl think u wont catch fish and u may not but you will never know if you dont try!
