Problem is, there are some teams that would never get better. Imagine Edmonton with even worse players. They would own the basement.

The labour is absolutely the worst. I'm not mechanically inclined and I know that any time I bring the car into the shop if I'm getting any work done I'm already looking at over $300 easy. The worst was about 5 years ago when I bought my new used car. Less then a week after I bought it, it blew a rad cap so I brought it back to the dealer. I went for lunch (car was taken in) and the car was back out when I returned from lunch (less then 45 minutes later.) I look on the bill and they charged me for 4 hours of labour. I told them 'I know for a fact you only worked on my car for an hour at most.' They responded with '4 hours is the industry standard. Its the least we can charge for this repair. Thankfully I was able to talk to the guy I bought the car from and he got it straightened out, but what an absolute mess.

How sad would I be if the leafs finished 29th and due to the new draft lottery format ended up picking 5th? : / it'll happen. You watch.

The thing I think we are all forgetting is that the only people that want the team to lose is the fans. Think about this like a workplace. If you are soooooo bad at your job, management is going to bring in new, younger employees that will get paid more to do your job. In a salary cap era leafs players realize stamkos and the younger guys are going to be taking away dollars they should be making. Babcocks job is safe but I don't know if the other coaches are. Coming in 30th is the worst possible thing for most people involved in MLSE.

You know, this isn't the most rediculous idea ever. It will never happen but hear me out. All the teams in the lottery are entered in a fan vote. 30th overall multiples their votes by 20% 29th overall multiples their votes by 12.5% 28th overall multiples their votes by 10%. And so on and so fourth. The team that gets the most pro-rated votes gets the #1 pick. See just how die-hard fans are for their team.

And another blow save. Jays should be 4-0 right now. Donaldson was just a strain. Day to day. Thank goodness. (My pet peeve is blown save. I over react a little but I am more critical of relievers then I am of starters)

If Edmonton comes in 29th or 28th and they still win the lottery are they just going to toss the rest of the envelopes up in frustration? In all honesty, if Edmonton wins I can see an 'Oilers clause' being put in place where you can't win the #1 pick two years in a row.

What they said. The last straw was when we were about 10km away from the launch on Rice Lake last year. The motor died so we started paddling. She was a trooper but about 30 minutes in called it quits. So I paddled while she trolled.

That was an absolute disaster. 2 runs called back that cost the Jays the game. Its really unfortunate, Sanchez was absolutely brilliant. Of course all of this could have been avoided if Cecil didn't decide to take the night off.

Thanks. Going to give this a try first. Would be nice to save the $200 or so I'm looking to invest. I don't mind the weight too much. The 12' Frontier that I have once held me and 2 of my 200 lb buddies. Me and the missus wouldn't sink this thing if the battery were the size of the boat.

How can you be so bad for so long if you're Edmonton? Seriously? Not making the playoffs since 2006 is one thing but how many times have they finished bottom 5 in the past 10 years? All of them?

Hey guys, Although it doesn't look like spring is coming with the weather we are having, I want to get prepped. The missus has told me that she refuses to get in my kayak again until I replace the Trolling motor battery (the old one stranded us on the wrong side of the lake too many times.) I was wondering what you lads say is the best one for this instance. Preferably we would like one that can be run for longer periods of time as its our main method of propulsion. As always, trying to save a few bucks. Its becoming apparent at this point it may have been easier and cheaper just to get a a 2.5 HP gas motor from bass pro. Edit: Our trolling Motor is a Minn Kota Endura C2 with 30 lbs of thrust.
