Navionics shows 20-30. I was trying to figure out where to fish it.

Those were all the walleye they released in the Toronto Harbour last year. They needed somewhere to run and BoQ was too far.

Why the heck would LA want him? At least Ottawa finally came to their sense with Phaneuf.

They are a little more protected then that. But not much. Its their first rounder this year OR next year and its at Ottawa's discretion. Plus they can make this decision right up to the trade deadline. Its not an easy decision but it does give them some wiggle room.

My confusion was mostly just because they changed the regs from 2017 to 2018. Also more so wishful thinking then confusion.

I wish. Months of planning for this day and I have to move it back. :S I mean, its not the end of the world. Its just frustrating. In 2022 the lake will be closed until the 19th. I know its just a couple of days but still. I wonder how many people will be out on the ice on the Friday because the didn't read the new regs.

You'll love it. Fishing out of a hut is the lap of luxury. This past weekend 4 of us stayed overnight in a hut on Nippissing and we had a blast. I would say bring tunes and food, snacks. We did use the BBQ in our hut and it worked well. Also if your hut is heated with a coleman stove if you bring a pan, a loaf of bread and a block of cheese, making grilled cheese on the ice is the best. For fishing gear, just a couple lures should do. Spoons, smaller hooks, splitshot. Maybe a small scoop of minnows and a light tip up if you can get your hands on one. Nothing too fancy. You'll have a blast regardless of what you bring.

Hey everyone, Just noticed one of my favourite lakes to ice fish changed its regs for 2018. The new regs are 'No fishing from Jan 1 to fri before family day (Ontario). Does this mean you can start fishing the lake on the Friday or did I take a day off for nothing and have to push my fishing adventure back a day? Thanks.

Can confirm. About 5 years ago I was working in Edmonton and we were trying to find out how far down the Pembina river the Arctic Greyling were coming. So we got to go fishing for em (one of the coolest jobs I ever got to do) As a bonus, some of our friends that didn't want to fish but wanted to SCUBA were scoping out where the fish were hiding (talk about advanced sonar). Anyways, a buddy of mine is fishing about 30 feet down from me, hooks into a greyling, which proceeds to jump 3 feet in the air. We all shout 'WOAH!'. Immediately my co-worker in SCUBA gear about 10 feet north of where I am pops her head up and says 'If you guys want to catch any more fish today, keep the noise down.' I ask her what she means and she says I had a huge school of mountain whitefish coming down the river towards my bait. Soon as she hear us say 'WOAH!' they all scattered and went into hiding in the timber.

For the first time ever the coach won a team a game. (Most of the time, regardless of what sport, they either cost the team the game or they don't.) They had 2 fourth down conversions when they didn't need to any won by 6. Geez that takes a lot of guts.

I honestly legit thought that Douchane would be an upgrade for Ottawa. Strange how a few negative years and a bad attitude can ruin a player. Remember when leafs fans were saying if we had tanked a bit more that season we'd have Douchane rather then Kadri? Man. Did we ever luck out on that one. Matt, if Ottawa gets the number 1 overall pick this year, do you think they will ship out Karllson and start grooming........... whats the prospects name? The killer D man in this year's draft. Adding to this, anyone use these with success. $3 plus looks like they'll last a few trip.
