Keep pumping the primer once its running and see if it will keep going....... S.

Could also be a weak coil. Do you have to wait for it to cool down before it will start again, or just re-prime it? If you just need to reprime it, could be the fuel pump I suppose. S.

Run some seafoam thru it, let it sit for a bit, then run the hell out of it! S.

Don't over look the subaru forester's. Great vehicle. Get a turbo and you can haul your boat around with ease. I tow a 16ft deep and wide, fully loaded, with no issues at all. The thing will go anywhere!! Take a look at the reviews. The only downfall is gas mileage, but that's what ya get with AWD. S.

Parking Access to Lake Simcoe Now Restricted
Sinker replied to Aaron Shirley's topic in General Discussion
IF the residents are complaining about noise from anglers, maybe they shouldn't be living on a LAKE!! What did they think, there would be nobody fishing in it?? Friggen whiners....... Doesn't hurt my feelings though, on the east side of the lake, access is free!! And there is lots of them. Its the city rif raf that travels to the west side of the lake that wrecks it for everyone else. SLOBS!! S. -
The scary thing is I think I'd fit in and get along just great with all those guys!! S.

ADVICE on a good ice fishing reel...
Sinker replied to Familyfisherman's topic in General Discussion
I'm seriously laughing my ass off here !!!! Everything from name calling to discombobulation in one thread.......that's gotta be a record!!! The 750's are fine. I've fished with a line and stick most of my life, and I don't catch any more fish now because of my reel!!! Its not the fancy equipment that catches your fish!!! Time on the water is key.... Edit: There are lots of good reels out there. I personally, am a fan of the Pfleuger line of spinning reels. I find for the price, you really can't go wrong. Thier tough, and dependable. I haven't had a problem with any of mine at all. My go to ice reel is a Diawa Laguna. I've had it for about 4 years and I use it on softwater too. Works fine. Never an issue. I guess what I'm saying is, you don't want to cheap out on a reel, but you don't have to break the bank either. S. -
I bet if you asked here you'd get all kind of good stuff!! S.

We used the printers tin on our as well. Good stuff. Just make sure you frame your stud centers to work for the sheet size. We got ours from am place in oshawa, but I don't think its available there anymore. Call around to some print shops. We got them for a buck a sheet. S.

ADVICE on a good ice fishing reel...
Sinker replied to Familyfisherman's topic in General Discussion
I've caught a few whities and lakers out of simcoe, and even a few from other lakes, and never been close to getting spooled with a 750 series reel. If a fish peels 100ft, I'd be impressed!! A 750 size reel will hold 100 YARDS of line, 300ft. More than enough! Braided line is the cats meow for any water over 15ft deep. If your roller freezes, so be it, your drag will still work fine. There are more lakes in ontario than simcoe!!! S. -
winter camping and ice fishing on big east lake
Sinker replied to rfmcrx's topic in General Discussion
I've winter camped a few times too, and in my experience, the quincy is the way to go. I froze my balls off in a tent LOL S. -
The bog is hurtin this year......and last!!! S.

It really doesn't matter. When I'm in search mode, I'll drill into the ice a few inches, then put a bit of water out of my minnow bucket in the hole, and my finder will shoot right thru the ice, no problem. Beats drilling a bunch of holes thru thick ice for nothing to find a shoal/drop. My ducer is about 12" down on a stick, no matter how thick the ice is, once I find where I want to be the above mentioned way. S.

I'm OUT. Too many Bull rules for a bragging rights tourney. Some guys take it way too seriously for me. S.

ADVICE on a good ice fishing reel...
Sinker replied to Familyfisherman's topic in General Discussion
I use the same reels on my ice rigs as I do all softwater season. Some baitcasters, some spinning. Don't cheap out on reels for icefishing, they are the most important part of your whole set up out there, and the most likely to fail in the elements!! S. -
How do you mount your electronics/battery for Ice fishing?
Sinker replied to scugpg's topic in General Discussion
Here's my ice rig and a few quinte eyes from last week! No need for anything fancy. I think you guys using the hds units etc are nuts to be dragging that kind of gear around on the ice!! Stuff takes a beating out there. I betcha my unit will mark the same fish yours will And my jig at any depth too All for about $300 all in. Case carries an 8ah battery and the rest of my cord inside. Battery will last days without charging too!!! No need for a spare, even for a weekend with no power to re-charge! S. -
I voted flip before reading the actual question. Now that I've read it, I think a pop up is your answer. I have a one man flip which is great for one guy walking. I can put all my gear in it, and away I go. I get to my spot and flip it over my hole, and bobs your uncle. If I want to move, everything is already packed in the sleigh, just flip the tent and I'm gone again. No muss, no fuss. Very quick, easy, and effective. A two man is a whole different story though. Two guys, with all thier gear in a two man flip........you need a machine to haul it. I got rid of a two man for just that reason. More of a PITA than anything, I hardly used it. S.

I blew the walkways this morning at 9am. Right now they have at least 15cm on them again. I blew at least that much off them this morning. Its coming down hard here and isn't supposed to stop!!! S.

Lightweight, strong, ice fishing chairs

White bucket! -
Sometimes there will be a bit of moisture inside the reel that will freeze the guts on you. If I get mine wet, I put them by the fire all night so they're nice and dry the next time I use them. Taking the cover off and checking things out is the best way to know for sure what's going on. S.

Don't over look the Starcraft Freedom series of big tiller utility boats. They make a solid hull!! If your going to duck hunt out of your new rig, you don't want a windshield. A small side console is one thing, but a full windshield is a PITA in a duck rig. If your that into duck hunting, your probably like me, and don't give a rats ass about the cold wind in your face running the tiller anyways Put in a windshield and all the other controls and you add a pile of weight, and lose a pile of space. Its a no brainer for me. Max HP or nothing!!! S.
