  1. Oh man Randy destroyed Sylvia? Yes, he picked him apart, but he won that fight on the ground, he got inside got a leg trip and controlled it on the ground, he wont be able to do that to Brock. Brock Slow? NO Brock next champ? For a few months, he will beat Couture and get subbed by Nogueira in the first round. Everyone keeps saing Couture will sub Brock. I highly doubt it, he has 2 submission wins in his career. He will work the clinch, which I dont see him being able to control. He was an olympic alternate in greco roman wrstling, but Brock will be 55-60 pounds heavier come fight time, and an awesome wrestler. If Couture wins this .... I will be in complete and utter shock, I will be very excited though. I just see Brock dominating. Brock is ever-improving as he continues to train. He will be a HUGE force in MMA. I hate when people say he's a joke because he was a WWE wrestler. I hate WWE, but Brock Lesnar isn o longer a WWE wrestler. He is a legitimate NCAA Div 1 Champion, hes not on roids, he does this all legitimately, yet he is hated because of his previous job. Come on, thats just immature.
  2. im pretty jealous
  3. As much as I'd like to see Couture win, I cant see it happening. Lesnar is too big and too strong.
  4. sounds like a very bittersweet moment. thanks for sharing lew. I got my PADI divers course last year, and looking at a move to BC next spring, maybe have to check her out if shes down already

  7. LOL! I feel ya
  8. awesome!
  9. I wouldnt replace a rod thats a few years old at the store, too much grief. You can replace the tip for about 6 bucks with a tip repair kit (Canadian Tire, Bass PRo etc.) Ugly Stiks have a 7 year warranty through the company, costs way more than 6 bucks to ship it out.
  10. I'm doin some G-Bay stuff Thurs/Fri I think ... you up for it?
  11. I cant believe the grief in steelheading. I love it as much as the next guy but jeez, talk about territorial. I've had some luck in your area this fall, you'll get em. Just time em right
  12. nice job boys. i was going to head there after the rain this week, maybe i can go already haha. Thanks for the report
  13. One tip: SLOW !!!!!!!!!! Cast a tube and dont even let it move off bottom. The current will do all the work. Boring? Yes. Effective? Yes.
  14. Damn that is some gin clear water! Well done!
  15. congratulations!
  16. Seeing as I tied em all. haha I dunno, he outfished me for sure.
  17. A float reel gives you a much smoother, more natural drift. It is much simpler to keep contact with your float. The way the line spools off a spinning reel, there is generally more slack, then the line gets caught in the current and pulls the float unnaturally. Last spring I used my buddies extra float reel all season and get sooooo many more fish with it. A new one is on my christmas list.
  18. Had a few hours this morning to get out for some chrome. First time all season, I was pretty jacked to get out. Started at the wrong spot. My buddy landed a nice 4-5 pounder and a little shaker, but we left. Headed to a different trib and he lands a 6 pounder on the first drift. He ended up going 5/9 and I went 2/4. Thats the true dfference between a float reel and a spinning reel, I got schooled. Man, I need to replace that float reel SOON!! Fun morning out! Water was clear, but for some reason the better fish were coming on big bright bags
  19. nice. good day out. hopefully i'll get out on thursday or friday.
  20. Think again fella. There's lots of big pike in Kempenfelt, caught them up to 41 inches.
  21. That's a great site to check. I stayed on Cayo Coco and took about a 1 hour taxi ride to La Redonda for some largie fishing. I landed a lot of 2-3 pounders casting a power worm into the flooded mangroves, landed a couple 4's and my dad lost a 9+ on a rattle trap. All the guides said in very broken english "Very tough day!" I'd recommend La Redonda, ask an agent at your resort about La Redonda, they'll hook u up. If you have old rods, bring them for the kids, families fish the shore of that lake with sticks to catch dinner. We brought down 6 old spincast rods and gave them out ... like giving them life, they will surely appreciate it, you'll feel good about it too. Good luck!
  22. nice browner
  23. I frequently use pink for smallmouth
  24. Just a small 1 - 1.5 inch tube that you can buy at most tackle shops. Berkley and Mizmo are brands that I use often, try and match it to the colour of the badd boy. Here's my favourite set up from last year...
  25. Bad Boyz tipped with a small tube. Shake it on bottom and let it sit, then do it over again. Awesome technique
