But don't wanna go glad I al no the only one. I guess I can just get drunk and watch all the girls in bikini's for a week, but for some reason I think I would still rather be in Algonquin fishing for brookies

Am I the only one that dreads the though of spending 2000 dollars to sit at a beach for a week? I really have no interest in goin to a beach. I don't even like going to beaches here let alone flying 5000 miles to go to one for an entire week. I would rather go fishing for a week or sit at home an tinke on the boat or the jeep, or buy a bunch of new fishing rods... Anyway I think I am in a losing battle here... Just thought I would rant. Ps the leafs suck

I have often wondered what would happen if the had rolling catch and release fishing, so that every lake would have CnR fishing only for a couple years... Not saying I would be all that happy about it, but it sure would be interesting to see how a large lake system would respond to something like that.

Accept now people like Musky.Bass fishermen hate Pike. Walleye diehards hate crappie... but pretty much all fishermen hate Cormorants. If we as fishermen really wanted fish to increase in numbers we would all stop fishing for 5 years. Imagine is not a single lure or hook hit the water for 5 years.

I have 2 Quantum PT Tour reels, one normal and one burner, and by far the curado's have proven to be more durable, have fewer backlashes and are more forgiving. The Quantum's have been downgraded to be used for slop fishing, the 6 curado's are used for jigging, worms, finess, spinner baits and crank baits

The comorant liver when brewed with hot water and lamprey tails will make you as strong as you would if you ate bear galstone
-
Best reel for the dollar by far. The problem with buying a curado is you will be spoiled with its performance and will not want to buy anything else. I have some of every vintage and the latest ones are excellent. Very light and comfortable to use.

Bang on, the cormorants will boom, fish will die, cormorant population will drop along with other animals in the area that cormants prey on in the area they have decimated. EG, sportfish, Loons, Osprey etc...not to mention fishermen... As far as I know the only species that will completely wipe out a natural resource without finding natural balance are Humans and Virii.

Them Americans will eat anything...

They did a shoot on Opeongo some years ago, the problem is after about 5 shots from each of the shooters they all flew away and scattered to other islands and parts of the park they weren't at before. Sounds like a job for a 9mm with a silencer.

Some base plates screwed down to the seats is about as least intrusive as you are gonna get. Anything clamp on is going to eventually bend stuff or fall off.

snowmobile slams into ice hut on Chemong Lake
jedimaster replied to chessy's topic in General Discussion
Fast boats, Fast sleds, Fast motorcycles.... NO ONE gets on or in one without knowing they are not safe. Its sad people got hurt but to be honest with you I am just happy to hear noone was in the hut. Its sad anyone was hurt but its not like these people don't know what they are getting into when they squeeze the throttle. I would hazard a guess that the ice hut was moving 0km/h when this accident occured. -
He would probably save 3,000 dollars. I think I would have to move to another province too.

Have you ever seen a Speckled trout with a deeply forked tail? Me neither. If it has a forked tail and its in a lake stocked with splake, chances are very good its a Splake. If its in a lake that has not been stocked with splake, and the tail is squarish its more than likely a speckle trout. If you are on a lake with both speckled trout and splake then you are in for a fit, and you will have to take your best guess.
-
Definatly a speck. The square tail doesn't mean perfectly square. A Spec side by side to a splake is easily distinguishable. I have only been on one lake with both Spec's and Splake's. Plus to tell the tail, you ned to lay to fish on its side and spread the tail out completly. If the tailfin is pressed in it will fork a bit like in the picture. But if you had of spread it out you woul dsee it squares up a bit.

Funny, I have moved to Keswick almost a year now and I have no idea where anything is. Where is Bonnie Boats and is it a fairly short walk to decent perching?
-

And a big brass pole

Seriously... you have Walmart in YellowKnife? Thats cool. My vote goes for Canadian Tire, but I tend to put my money down at an actual fishing store. I tend to be pretty picky about what I want, what brnads, colors etc... I can hardly find anything that I want at either place. but Crappy tire has my favorite hooks.

Price out some BFG AT KO's They have the best mix of rugged performance and streetability. These are used extensivly by offroaders that need to run the same tires on the road and have a GF or Wife that hates the MT grumble....
