Aspilb Posted November 6, 2019 Report Posted November 6, 2019 Hello guys, my name is Ben and I’m from Chile. I’m visiting Toronto with the wife this weekend and I plan to use one of our days to go fishing. I do have some questions as far as fish species and locations if you don’t mind helping. 1. Is it too late to fish for salmon up the streams? 2. Are there rules for fishing with spinning rods and lures (mepps, worms, etc). 3. what are some good locations for a tourist to go fishing? ( at this time of the year) thank you guys for your helping!
AKRISONER Posted November 6, 2019 Report Posted November 6, 2019 Here is the Information you will need https://www.ontario.ca/document/ontario-fishing-regulations-summary/fisheries-management-zone-16 You will also need a fishing license. the salmon are done, but the steelhead are starting
BillM Posted November 6, 2019 Report Posted November 6, 2019 Tossing hardware in any of the Lake O tribs wouldn't be a bad idea. Cohos, browns, steelhead. Spinning gear is fine as are spinners, spoons etc. Goodluck!
Chuck Enwinde Posted November 7, 2019 Report Posted November 7, 2019 (edited) Getting a bit late for salmon but there are still a few swimming around. Go for a walk along the Humber River casting the mepps as you go. Chance for steelhead, browns or maybe a coho. Need a one day license ~$26. Mind the dams though,. No fishing within 23m downstream of the dams. Edited November 7, 2019 by Chuck Enwinde 1
