Made this Coconut Wren house in 2003 and it's been in use ever since. Usually 2 -3 broods per year of 3-4 little ones, I figure about 100+ wrens have been born in there. Finally sat down yesterday wit the tripod and camera and took a few photos. It's amazing the amount of insects they consume.

Neat idea, thats a whopper of a coconut lol

 

I would try this, but ive had to get rid of 2 yellow jacket nests in the yard this summer and with my luck.......this would only turn into a wasps nest lol (actually what it looks like )

Thought about that too but so far none have ever tried to evict the Wren.
