~~~~Well after finally getting the front deck off the boat got a good look at the crack, and decided to get it welded. Asking if anyone in my area knows a good Aluminum welder, or shop, Too old to do it myself

Nelson welding. Located on Finley. Ive used him for some steel welds. Not sure if he does it but im sure he knows someone that does.

I know an amazing aluminum welding guy, but he is north of port hope, near garden hill. All he does is aluminum, and he has all the tools to do it right. If you want to go there, send me a PM and i will give you his contact.

 

My bet is he will suggest not welding it, but fabricate a piece to make a patch, seal, and rivet it on over the crack.

 

He has done some pretty amazing things for me with aluminum. Jobs other aluminum guys said couldnt be done.

~~~~Well as I said took my boat over to Bowmanville to a guy named Garrnett dropped it off Sat morning and he calls back at 5:30 boats ready, so I went and got her, he did a fantastic job of clearing the old gunk I had on there and welded it up, and on the inside he puts some heavy tack welds, his quote for the job was $200, we agreed it was worth $250. Highly recommend him.
