misfish Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) Im enjoying this more and more now that I have got my settings. Dont ask what they are, I just wing it ,till I find what works. Would really like to get closer shots, that will come Im sure. Still working will gulls, but some are faster then others. Rodbender Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) Cool Keep at it Hint's Sun at your back Early morning late afternoon (golden hour they call it) leaves less shadows and highlights blown find a spot that their coming across you High shutter speed I usually start with 1/1000 and go up most are at 1/1600 to 1/2000Shoot in shutter speed priority to start(not sure what camera you have ) Have fun I enjoy every minute out with my camera and just for comparison heres one of my first BIF 3 years ago Edited June 4, 2015 by Rodbender
