Advice on Big Nickel / Tobermory fun and Hotels

Can anyone recommend a good clean but very affordable hotel or motel in Sudbury for Fri night and Tobermory area for Sat night.

 

I'm not looking for google responses but places you know of or have stayed at.

 

Also, any advice on taking the Family to the Big Nickel and the Chi-Cheemaun / Tobermory touristy things.

I've stayed at quite a few hotels in sudbury. The belmont, imperial fireside inn and the moonlight are all decent and fairly inexpensive. The super8 is nice but a little more expensive. As for tobermory the only place I stayed there was the harbourside hotel. It's right on the water and very nice, but it's not cheap.

The Days Inn downtown is pretty good....it's worth the stay just to have beer/burgers at the attached pub!

Look into Science north in Sudbury.
