misfish Posted May 18, 2014 Report Posted May 18, 2014 Great shots Dave. I thought I was seeing things when I seen a Baltimore. Yup it was. Guess the new crib is done? Any pics? Really liked the open concept of your other house.
Twocoda Posted May 19, 2014 Author Report Posted May 19, 2014 (edited) Soon to start working on the newer than new crib...we cant seem to be able to move into them ...maybe we will just build a cottage up here now and leave in the winters...pondering the thought of the east coast for long term Edited May 19, 2014 by Twocoda
misfish Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 pondering the thought of the east coast for long term I,m game, when we going? LOL
Joey Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 Great shots. Saw my first ever Rose Breasted yesterday. Beautiful birds. So if I put oranges in my backyard, the Baltimores will come?
Joey Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 Well I'll give up my oranges, but damned if I'll let them have my grape jelly
Twocoda Posted May 27, 2014 Author Report Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) yes Joey it works...also as rodbender says ....grape jelly put into a plumbing test cap and zippy tied to a fence or tree etc.....test caps are orange ,made of pvc and very cheap as opposed to buying an expensive Baltimore oriole feeder....i just cut an orange in half...lance a hole through the center of the half and pierce a small branch through the orange so it stays on the tree Edited May 27, 2014 by Twocoda
misfish Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 Once all the flowers are gone from the crab apple tree,Im going to try this.
Rodbender Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 Don't wait you can just put Grape jelly in a plastic shot glass or even just on a spoon put it near the tree on a stump or a block of wood
