Fishnfiend Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 Here's the story: http://www.northernlife.ca/News/LocalNews/...-07-forest-fire The bummer is that I need to drive through that area to get to my camping/fishing spot. What are the odds that it will be okay tomorrow?
Terry Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 I hope they get it out soon there were only 20 trees left there that were not cut in half from the tornado a few years back and now this someone up there must have ticked off mother nature
irishfield Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 Wednesday night they had reopened the highway from Sudbury to Timmins so hopefully it's still open for you fnf And as for that Tornado...we left Halfway lake that morning for Hearst...good luck on our part..for a change.
taper Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 Just got home and passed through the area, a huge area was devastated. The MNR still had the area barricaded off and were doing hot spot checks on foot and by helicopter. First time I have ever seen any thing like this and it is very sad to see our resources and country side damaged like this.
