buick14
Hey, Anybody ever use flex coat lite formula uv rod wrap finish on your cork handle as a sealer? Would it be slick, sticky, ugly etc.? Somebody recommended it, so I was interested to know if anybody has use it instead of say U40 cork seal Thanks
Spiel
Personally I'd recommend nothing but if you must I'd avoid winding finish in favour of products designed for cork. Wood sealers like Thompsons are another option. Gun stock oil is also popular with some builders.
porkpie
I used some thompsons on a rod 20 years ago, it's held up great!
buick14
Thanks guys, appreciate the info. I wont use it. Maybe ill look into thompsons. I jist hate how when I use a new cork rod, all the filler they use nowadays.
