Jds63 Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Heading up to buddy's cottage on Farquhar Lake, supposed to have lakers in it. It will be a soggy Saturday, downright balmy compared to what we've had lately, but will give it a try anyways. Anyone had any luck on it before ?
Sinker Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Yep. I've had a cottage in wilberforce for almost 30yrs. Farquar is decent for lakers. You should have no problem finding them, and catching. I've had good luck fishing relatively shallow compared to most general "laker" depths in that lake. Standard jigs and set lines catch them. Good luck, and let us know how ya make out! S.
Jds63 Posted January 10, 2014 Author Report Posted January 10, 2014 My friend just bought the cottage recently so he has not even had to a chance to check out the lake in a boat. We will be walking out from his cottage dock area, supposed to be some good drop offs within 5 minute walk and a island not too far. Thanks
Ron Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 South East point of the island, small 2" tube. Not that i would know or anything... Cheers...
