Leech Availability - Marten River Area

Hi Guys,

 

Travelling up to Marten River area next week. I always enjoy using leeches for smallmouth and walleye. I am wondering how is the availablity or should I be looking prior to getting to camp. If so, any suggestions along Highway 11.

Billy Bobs off Lakeshore in north Bay should have them. Also a little further of !! (about 15 minutes) is Bowmans Bait in the village of Nipissing on 654 then right on Lk.Nipissing RD.Bowmans is 17 bucks for 1/2 pound which is about 7 dozen.

Not sure how far north you're going, but there is a great bait and tackle shop that's just a hop skip and a jump south of Wilson Lake Road on the east side of hwy 11 that has leeches, worms, and minnows. [about 30 km north of Marten River]

Discount Bait and Tackle at the lights (corner of Hwy 11 bypass and Hwy.63 right in North Bay) has leeches right now. Kiddie corner to the Beer Store.
