trevy727 Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Hello all, Heading up to lake Nipigon in two weeks. I'll be searching for PB brookies but will also fish for pike, walleye and lakers. I will have my boat with down riggers and all the rods, reels and tackle I'll need for all species. I'd just like to ask any of you Nipigon vets if there are some go-to lures you don't leave home without specifically for Nipigon. I am sooooooo pumped for this trip as I have driven past over 20 times and never had the time to stop. If all goes well, I will be making this an annual trip. I'll be sure to post a report on my return. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Terry Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 good luck it's a trip that I hope to make some day too
Musky or Specks Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Beleive it or not Big-O's for flat line trolling brookies.
pics Posted August 11, 2012 Report Posted August 11, 2012 The pike and brookies there seem to love little cleo spoons in bright colors like fire tiger. Walleye might be tough to find in any numbers due to commercial netting that was done in the past.
