For those who fishes both off the pier and in the rivers for salmon/steelhead, when would you guys go pier fishing and when would you guys do river fishing? northernpike56 Posted August 6, 2012 Report Share Posted August 6, 2012 piers first, you should start going down and fishing them at night in a few weeks for staging salmon, then about mid sept-early october you should fish the creeks for them (provided that the creek is still open of course).
